I had a good workout this morning and heard many in the locker room angry and disappointed with McCain's running mate.
It's going to be a good Friday.

Border fence design blasted as causing flooding.
So how is that fence going?
Hey Mr. Chertoff what's you gut telling you now? Hey why listen to people who may know about the effects of that kind of fences would have if there was a weather event. They don't know what is best, but then this is probably all Obama's fault anyway. That it was his high taxes causing all the mischef.
I hate to say, but I have let my guard down on Bush the past few months. I must have G.W. Fatigue, since I just thought all he and his cronies were doing was playing out the string. Then I see a story like this, and I remind myself, this administration can still do a ton of damage from now until January 20th, that is we have elections, whoops sorry I got a little too conspiratorial there.
Right now it makes me look to Denver and ask two things.
1. Will the Broncos defense improve enough to get back to the playoffs . . . sorry reflex. But I send out this plead that the convention goes smoothly. The G.O.P is licking it's lips over this possible Obama/Clinton alley fight. If it gets ugly then the G.O.P. will play it up like 1968 lite. Look I understand there maybe some issues to smooth out, do it behind close doors and do what is going to be best for country. Also let us not have another Jimmy Carter/Ted Kennedy 1980 moment where it looked like Ted was only out there because he was forced at gun point.
2. That when the convention is over Obama get that momentum back? Not just a temporary bounce from the convention but real momentum and get back some ground in the battleground states. He needs to get back to hammering away at McCain and what will be a continuation of the wonderfulness that is G.W. We need to keep this country from going through another two, three maybe four years, depending on if McCain wants to go after Iran, Russia and probably China.
Okay enough of my nonsense, back to the grind.
SUCK IT.
Sen. Stevens of Alaska faces criminal charges.
I hope you go down for the count and if you go, then take your stupid Bridge to Nowhere with you.

House Speaker Pelosi calls Bush 'a total failure'
I mean even I had this pegged by 2004.
That someone was Bush. In fact he gave us all the finger again yesterday at his press conference.
That America was a big FU to everyone, well accept that 20% that still are delusionaly behind this jackass piloting this country.
I wish he would just come out and say, "hey, I going to do whatever the hell I want since I do not care about any of you or the law of the land". I would be pissed but I would actually respect him for being honest for once.
All I can do is go on another profanity laced tirade, probably because I am suffering from war fatigue and I should get behind the surge since the insurgency is in it's last throws, so I will let someone with more skill go over the B.S. that was just pouring out of that soup cooler of his. (Thanks Crooks and Liars, please go over and enjoy the site, but read at your own risk since you will want punch or smash things afterwards).
I am sorry Mr. Bush has gone from an mind numbingly inept to down right dangerous. Nothing is more dangerous than someone who has nothing to lose and has no care for the consequences.
Post Script - Since it looks like things are going poorly it looks like the White House and Neocons are pulling out the same old tactics again. Either by using scare tactics or release bad news on Friday to make us take focus off the White Houses nonsense.
This time it looks like those guys and that organization that attacked us back in 2001 are back to pre-9/11 levels. How could this be since we removed Saddam and we so close finding Osama? I have no clue why. It could not be because i al-Qaeda has set up a great Club Med resort along the Pakistan/Afghanistan boarder. Well I should just blame the Clinton's, Pro-Choice supporters and the gays. They have all held us back. The whole item about Rummy calling off an attack in 2004 along the Pakistan boarder must be false. Hilary must be behind it since al-Qaeda where partners in the Whitewater affair.
So we find out about the new and improved al-Qaeda, just right after hearing they could be planning an attack this summer. An attack that was brought to our attention thanks to the bile duct of a bile Bush cronie. Hey FU Chertoff and your gut you hunch driven clown (Thanks C & L and Keith Olbermann)!
Don't even get me started on health care. I need to go see Sicko, I am curious to see what Micheal has to say.
Okay, the anger is out of my system for now.
The Iraqi government has not meet many of its goals and
Right now what he is doing to this country is tanamount to this. It the money after and he is not going to respect us, or call us back. He has also taken money our of our wallets, made a sandwich (which he did not clean up after) and then pissed all over the sink.
I am wrapping up work and I am off for the cool environs of Palm Springs. Yep, 115 tomorrow. But the Better Half and I are going to get away from the asshats who are laughing ordnance that could be used in Iraq. We are going to do some lounging, some reading and some swimming with the Old People.
Hey speaking of the 4th, what is it with White Trash, Fireworks and alcohol? It like the holy trinity. Throw in a NASCAR race and forget it. Look I love seeing things go boom, but if I want to see a big boom, I will go watch the pros do it. I not up to watching cousin Jethro all lubed up on Natty Lights and Smirnoff Ice gluing M-80's, he got illegally from Mexico, to a tree. Hey I will wait till the next day and watch them blow each other up on YouTube. Hell, I personally would be okay if this year at least in California we passed on the fireworks. Considering how dry it has been I not up for tempting fate. The up coming fire season because it is going to be a big bitch. I think it will be one that's going to make what happened in San Diego county a couple months back look like a campfire. But the it is the 4th and if you want fireworks, go watch them.
Knowing is half the battle. . . .
So go forth and be merry, Throw that meat on to the grill, relax and please remember what it means to be free and American. Also think about how after this holiday we all need to work to help keep this country that way by telling the asshats we are not going to put up with BS. That the government no matter if there is a R, a D, or what ever the F Joe Lieberman is going with. Dude you are batshit crazy and we don't need you telling us we have to go after Iran. (Crooks and Liars) I know this sounds naive, but until the Constitution is officially thrown out they work for the people and it is their sworn duty to serve and protects it's citizens.
Even though there are days it is tough, I am and will always be proud to be American. That I will be disgusted with my countries action only because it can and should do better. We don't have to rule to the world, but we should play a better part in it to make it better for everyone.
Okay I am now done, go you rascals go and enjoy your holiday.

Campaign 2008 Coverage
or that we have Bush till January 20, 2009.
What am I thinking Bush in a landslide.
Ran across these items on a this great site. I spend time here and it gets me nice and mad.
So it seems that Bill O'Riley has been on his pogo stick about how some news outlets are reporting the news that they are out to harm America, and that he and Fox News are about serious reporting. But Keith Olbermann gives us a slice of the serious reporting BillO delivers.
Bill are you sure you got a Peabody Award, I think you may need to check it and make sure it does not say Magoo Award. (Thanks Crooks and Liar)
So let me see, Stem Cells are evil, and staying in Iraq is good. (Thanks again to Crooks and Liar)
Also ran across this one, which pisses me off to no end. So we can have billions either be wasted or just go missing in Iraq, but a program that promotes community service is seen as waste at $25 million. I really should not be shocked, but I am still pissed about it. (Thanks to Crooks and Liars for getting me to this site)
When you are finished please use the hand sanitizer.

So that it can just say,
Mistakes were Made.
I think that sums up him and his tenure in office quite nicely.
So this Alberto-gate is looking even uglier, and since we are getting stiff armed on Iraq, maybe, just maybe we can get him impeached on something else.
Wishful thinking.
I am satisfied and yet disappointed. Libby is the fall guy and he will get a short sentence or pardoned. And if he does, people should go ape shit like those Conservatives who went nuts over Clinton's pardons.
To me the most telling part of this case is that the jury knows that there are others who have some explaining to do.
"I will say there was a tremendous amount of sympathy for Mr. Libby on the jury. It was said a number of times, 'What are we doing with this guy here? Where's Rove? Where are these other guys?' " Collins said. "I'm not saying we didn't think Mr. Libby was guilty of the things we found him guilty of. It seemed like he was, as Mr. Wells put it, he was the fall guy." (YahooNews)
I am glad to see something has been done, hopefully, if there is justice, it will be the start of many of the Bush Junta to face the music. I would like to see Darth up next.
Mr. Libby, pray you get a cushy prison. Since with a name like Scooter do not be surprised if you make the cover of Prison Bride Monthly.
New Wave of Troops set for Iraq.
Don't you have enough pairs of Bad Idea Jeans Mr. President?

I wished this had happened years ago, but I will take what I can get.
RUMMY is OUT!
Wow, Rummy is out, Santorum is out coming this January and K-Fed has been kicked to the curb. Sweet Jebus that some good news.
So Mr. Rumsfeld as you leave I would like to extend both middle fingers to you to express my feelings on your service to America. I know you will do a book and end up with a high paying consultant job, but I do hope that your failures haunt and torment you from now, till you pass.
So thanks, thanks for nothing asshole.

I am hoping so, thanks to last night. Now the Dems have to come in and get things back on track. Maybe just maybe this can be the start of cleanup of bio hazard mess that Mr. Bush has crafted for us. I feel better that it could be starting now, than having to wait for the 2008 elections.
So with the stakes high things have to get done, or that light will not be an exit, it will just be a fright train.
Sadly here, my state will have Arnold for four more years. Also my city council will be run by wackos. But I still went out and did my civic duty. The Better Half and I made the wait in line go quickly with a rousing game of War. I had to surrender when it was time to vote, I was down to just one card. Since it was an ace it would have taken awhile to lose, but I was not going to win.
Can you hear all the Radical Right wackos squirming right now. I would not be surprised if Fox is reporting that the Terror Alert is at Red. Also, I think now having Mrs. Pelosi as Speaker, Rush maybe back on the Hillbilly Heroin.

Bush unsatisfied with Iraq war progress
WTF took you so long to figure this out. Seriously Yale should be kicked out the Ivy League for having this guy even "attend" their university.
Oh but we are winning our president says so. Mr. Bush I would love to see that world. Can I get there without the use of hallucinogenics or severe head trauma. The world you see must be swell, since you are not looking at the real world.
But hey there is a war you are winning. No, it is not Iraq, drugs, or even poverty. No you are winning that war vs. the Constitution. One day soon you have it down to just the 2nd amendment and some old Family Circus cartoons.
Speaking of the Constitution, I actually carry a very small copy of it with me. I do it because I like being able to look at it and remember the good times. Back when there was a system of checks and balances.
Oh those were the days.

I have a feel that the passing of Military Commission Act or the Enabling Act II Electric Bugaloo. I am not one for the whole Bush/Hitler thing, (Oh since I mentioned Hitler I wonder if my blog will be on the History Channel?) But this Military Commission Act is a lit fuse on a keg of TNT that the Constitution is strapped to. Sadly I think the fuse might be very short, since the Supreme Court will probably let is go since the one vote that stopped it last time, Justice Kennedy stated if Bush could get it passed again then he would most likely vote for it.
So Habeas Corpus is dead. And anyone who opposes the Administration could be off to Gitmo soon. I know am being dramatic, and they can't imprison all of us yet. But since the elections of 2000 I feel that anything can happen, well anything bad can happen.
So what did most of this country do when this was going on. Were we writing letter, protesting, flooding our representative phone lines with calls of concerns? Nope, too many of this nation just did not care. Again people don't mind giving away others rights.
Well I should read up on Cuba, get some sun screen (that is if they let me out of a cell) and some water wings for all that fun non-torturous water boarding. I know I should not kid about this, but as absurd at it is, I must dish up some absurd to keep me from going nuts.

We live in a great country. It is a place where a company will pay a couple of guys $1.65 Billion for something they really do not own. But as long as they keep the the hits coming I should not question anything.
Well it looks like Kim is not going to get go to Camp David. Hey I have not heard anyone blame the Clinton's for North Korea. Oh wait here we go. Wow, just when I thought I could have even less respect for McCain he goes and shows me. Go suck it Mr. McCain. You are now becoming a lap dog for a man who dragged you through the mud. Just so you can make a run for the White House. Well, right now if there is justice and God. You will get Bush's endorsement as his approval rating hovers around 16%.
Another case of Republicans eating themselves? Looks like it. So someone may have known about this since 2001. Great. Speaking of the Foley Scandal. Which is now in the top 10 of Washington scandals. My Fav is the Teapot Dome Scandal. They just don't make them like that anymore. Wait since that happened in Wyoming in the 20's, so Darth Caney had to have something to do with it. Oh, I am getting sidetracked again. Hey Senator Bratwurst you say you will can anyone you find that knew about this and didn't come forward. So we should expect you to turn in your resignation this week or next?
I am happy to see that the polls are showing the G.O.P is sucking ass. But I worry that they will get back into power in the not so distance future, because they are leaving such a mess that people may shoot the messenger when they find out that our treasury, economy, education, infrastructure, environment and I could go on and on is in the crapper. They will try to spin it that this didn't happen while we were running things. I would hope that America would not fall for that, that it would grit it's teeth and work to fix it. But there are too many out there who vote for "American Idol" and I think they could be swayed to do whatever by some shiny objects.
Don't mess with Babs, she will cut you.
Is this why it take forever to get a pot hole filled?
So it looks like King George has come to his senses, for the moment. I wished he had done it and just gone nuts. Fire everyone and overpay for stiffs, just like the 80's. Yo A-Rod I would start boxing things up.
Rats, the ways things are going I would have voted for them on the Truthiness Ticket.
Please sit relax and have a Fresca.
