Sorry to go walk about on all eight of you out there who read this. I thought I would have so much time to blog when my temp assignment finished. Well like my predictions that Sigue Sigue Sputnik, the Atari Lynx and the XFL would all end up being greater than the invention of the printing press, they all failed. You live, you learn. I did actually try to sit down and blog, I tried to put up some pictures. After waiting 30 minutes for one of them to load (thanks dial up) I had to stop. I was going to collapse my skull from pounding the desk with it.

Let's go to the highlights from a man who gives nothing but lowlights.

Dinner and Drinks - The Better Half took me out for a nice dinner. She had felt bad that she had a really crappy schedule and since we car pool there were many a night spent sitting around her office. I kept telling her it was okay, and that I felt bad that work was nuts. Hell, this woman has put up with my abnormal interest in NFL Europe. So she would have to hit me with a hammer or make me go to see Yanni to make me perturbed. So we trekked to a nice Belgian restaurant in Laguna. Before the meal, we got a little trashed drinking at the bar at The Royal Hawaiian. It was such an amazing meal. It was so good I almost thought about not creating a time machine so I could go back and beat the crap of King Leopold. Almost I said.

Super Bowl XLzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Glad to see the Steelers beat Team Potted Meat. This was all sizzle no steak. In fact this game would be a nice gristle sandwich. Oh sure it taste like steak, but after chewing on it for 3 plus hours you realize that all you got every little out of it.

Enjoyed the game watching with my good friend, Steeler fan, and King of the Desert Hooligans. I was glad to see him see his team not shoot it's self in the foot. Whoa, hold on their Mr. Cheney, just put down the rifle I will get to you later, just using a shoot analogy. But he is an Angels fan and after this fall and 1997's AFC Championship Game, things had to even out.

Super Bowl notes - Enjoyed some of the commercial, others were dumb and some were just rammed into the ground. If I heard another Greys anatomy ad with "It's a code black". I was going to go down and give everyone a black eye.

The Better Half got off some great lines during the halftime show. My favs:

After watching the Stones for a few moments, "What is this,"Assisted Living Dracula?" (sorry it's a joke from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but still funny as hell).

After someone talked about the stage setup. "What is Mick going drive around on a Rascal?

On Mick decision to wear a cut off shirt. "Look I was not put on this earth to look at some 65 year old guys stomach. That is just not right.

Other items:

My first week of freedom, well almost. I spent a lot of time trying to work on stuff around the house. Still have a ton to do. But it has led me to the fact I need to find a way to work from home and that work be involving sports. Seriously can someone help a brother out.

The Winter Olympics - Other than curling and hockey, will some one please wake me when they are done.

The Great One's gambling scandal - You think Wayne has had enough to deal with, coaching, the passing of a parent and I believe a grandparent, now Toccett-Gate. I think it is still too early to say if Wayne was involved, but what kind of world do we live when Janet Jones is dropping that kind of green on Football. It has to be Wayne's money. You can not tell me she amassed that from Police Academy 5 and the Flamingo Kid. I know Wayne loves Tocchet, but as a Kings fan he is bad news. I know the guy scored 48 goals with Pittsburgh, but we traded Lucky for him and we got nothing. It took the Kings years to get things straighten out after that. Sadly this is not the first time Wayne was "involved" with something nefarious. Two words, "Bruce McNall". Also thanks to Wayne, he brought in Charlie Huddy, who lead an escort service to the net during his time with the Kings.

Skating with Celebs, not enough "celeb" spill and chills. But I am pulling for the only one who did spill blood, Christy Swanson. Please defeat the souless shrill harpy that is Jillian Barbarie.

Oh darn I missed the Grammy's. When the music industry spends three hours celebrating the steaming pile of crap they rammed down our throats. I think I would have shot myself if forced to watch. PUT THE GUN DOWN MR. CHENEY! I am just making a bad joke. Easy there big guy. Most of the acts I could have cared less about. There were some that I was glad to see win something, but mostly it is souless and blank, kinda like Maria Carrey. I heard the opening of the show was a over hyped, over blown, cartoonesque, visual carcophany of lights sound and dance to hide poor singing and the Gorillaz. Well it looks like the Gorillaz were not destroyed, so maybe their is hope for Guy Ritchie. Last nitpick of the Grammy's, why is it that they reward good artist years too late and for albums that aren't that great. I am sorry but that Santana album that swept the awards was not great, but did they even give him a look for the work he should have rewarded, no. What asshats.

Baseball is almost back. Pitchers and catchers are about to report. The White Sox prepare to defend their title. Oh I got goose bumps typing that. But the glow of the Pro Bowl has past so, it is the lean season for sports. I used to love college hoops but call me in March. The NBA, my roto team sucks so why should I care. Hockey, stupid Olympics had to interrupt. Arena Football, I sorry it is tough for me to support people for doing what I used to get in trouble doing as a kid. Maybe if they put up a lamp or a picture frame up on the nets and if a team hits or breaks it, they get in trouble now I trying to get back on the EPL.

I was disappointed about the Katrina hearings. I did like the grilling of Browne, what an assclam. I just wished they had put an apple in his mouth as they roasted him. But looking at all these departments and their reactions I am surprised more did not die. Everyone has some blame to accept, but as we all know that this starts at the top and this country got what it voted for.

Mr. Bush, glad to see you saved us coked out, commie liberal asses. We should just get on hands and knees and thank you for doing what you are supposed to do, defend this country. It is in the job description. Go read it, have Laura help you with the big words. I am sorry but this whole domestic wiretap thing is crap. The terrorist are smart enough to know not use land lines and other communications that are easily monitored. But then they my still use those because they know that we do not have enough people to properly translate. Right now, they are using disposable cell phones like drug dealers. Easy to get and toss, but tough to trace. But then no one has ever thwarted a terrorist attack without running roughshod over the constitution. Oh wait Clinton did in 2000 with the foiling of the Seattle Space Needle. I know Mr. President supporting the constitution and checks and balances makes me a humus eating terrorist. Look I think what needs to be done can be done while protecting civil liberties, not easy but it can. We tout ourselves as free and a model for others to follow, but our actions contradict that. Hey I am just saying.

Hey what is up with Elmer Fudd...er I mean the Vice President. Maybe this is why you got out of Vietnam Mr. Cheney. Look I am not a smart man, but turning and firing a shotgun when you know you have someone behind you and the sun in your eyes is morbidly retarded. What are Quail that dangerous? I sure those are the birds the terrorist will use next to strike at us. Mr. Cheney what were you pissed that you those evil Quail were going to do the old, one sneak behind while another rushes up and pushes over the other one? Good to see you can still clip a 78 year old guy with buck shot. Wow that guy did not have a good weekend. But don't worry Mr. Cheney like telling Scooter Libby about disclosing who was a CIA op, or covering for Haliburton and Enron it will all just get swept aside. You are a class act sir, a class act.

Still looking for people for our Belfast trip, so if you or anyone you know is free from March 31st to April 15th, I still have spots available.

Well I have run on too long, just like the majority of the sentences in this entry. I wanted to get this out. Please forgive all the errors and lack of cohesion, too much cough syrup.

Well, today I now I have too much I want to get into so I will try to force myself to Cliff Note it.

From the Shame Department - Week 3 and I finally got to see blood on the ice. Kristy Swanson come on down. I actually felt bad about it, even though I watched the fall 6 times. She did a good routine. Next week I was teased with two "celebs" are rushed to the hospital. Please, please Jillian Barbarie and the woodchipper. One time, come on.

State of the Union - The High Grand Pooba of Failing Upwards again spewed crap like a champ. I tired to watch, but I was getting too angry to watch the whole thing. But then I just want the terrorist to win. Mr. Bush nearly everything you have touched in your terms as president has turned to shit. You are the "Yes Dear" of Presidents. You are show that no one watches, critics could care less about, but you are still on every week.

Hey good to see you are going to back Iran further into a corner. Look I am not a fan of theirs either, but a little diplomacy, please. Hey thanks, I won the pool I had the over on you butchering nuclear.

I did not know if to laugh or cry when you rolled out we are addicted to Oil. You are a little slow on the up take there. Hmmm, so at this rate on knowledge absorption when you are 80 Global Warming is not good.

So you are still going to try to ram the your Three Card Monty game . . . er I mean your Social Security Plan on us.

More tax cuts and cutting of social programs. Again you are making the Adam Smith "invisable hand", give us the finger. Who needs to send kids to college, public programs or affordible health care. You know who supports college loans, and Medicare. Osama Bin Laden. The insurgents, want to extend unemployment benefits to works. But seriously, health care needs to be fixed and soon. What should scare you is right now the numbers of medical students going into general practice is shrinking faster the Polar Ice Caps. Why, doctors who do general practice are not doing it for the money anymore. They are over whelmed by the HMO's and they are scared of lawsuits. But then I want the terrorist to win if we do not allow the drug companies and HMO's to make more money while providing less.

Last bit from the State of Disunion - I know I have mentioned this elsewhere, but you did look so pleased when you gave a copy of you speech to the Speaker and Darth Cheney. You had the, look, I did it all in cursive and I stayed in the lines. That one,s going up on Grandpa Cheney's fridge.

Bush cuttings continued - George love that you took a page from your dad about the photo with Abramoff. Your dad got away with mugging with Old Pineapple Face Noreiga. Now it is your turn, and since you're such a dolt, your I don't remember taking a photo with him may actually work.

Oprah - you are a Douche bag of Biblical Proportions. I was so glad you stepped in this flaming bag of dog shit. But seriously did you need a whole hour whipping the guy on TV. He deserves scorn, but that was overkill. But then phony authors and people who do not sell you hand bags are the really enemies. Hey Oprah, sue him and then take the proceeds and give your audience more useless crap. All the while as Tom Cruise makes sweet, sweet love to angry bear.

The Super Bowl - still trying to wrap my head around the game. Right now I like Pittsburgh. If they can run on the edges then they will win. But if not then I think Sea Chickens will get enough out Alexander to win. But I am going Pittsburgh 27 - Team Potted Meat 20. But more importantly we are less than two weeks away from the Pro Bowl. Which means one thing. NFL Europe is almost here.

Kobe Bryant - Wow if he had better supporting players this team would be dangerous, but since he doesn't it easy to see why he has to keep jacking up shots. I love the guy on the court, off the court, Kobe you are still in time out. But he is amazing to watch.

The Oscar's I would have more witty banter, but I don't go to the movies. I just wait till they're on cable. So I am little behind, hmmm Gandhi. Did this just come out?

Well sadly like the ADD child I am I have to get going on work. Please try the free samples and stay tuned for VH-1's Behind The Gameshow: Press My Luck.

So far.

I got nothing today. I have blown all my A-stuff on other people's comments section. I really have to focus on delivery the daily brew of nonsense that a handful of you look forward to.

Had an uneventful weekend. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Some time with the Boski Clan. Other than that I have nothing. I am trying to warm up to the Super Bowl. I thought I would have been over the beat down the Broncos took by Wednesday, but I should be finally over it in the next 30 minutes or so.

I did get good new last week. I will be freed of the dungeon Friday. At that time, I will be exchanged for 3 KGB spies at Checkpoint Charlie.

I will be taking the time off to work on getting ready for our trip, and digging anti tank trenches, to defend the homeland.

Well that is all the steam hot lame that is the Boskiverse I have right now. I will try to bring you the best in all things useless.

Today I got an unexpected day off. Which would have been nice if it was not for the those in my fair city who encroached on our compound.

Yesterday, a city street crew came out to our home, while we were at work and proceeded to do work with out our consent. Which would be fine if they did not come on to our property and damage it. Seriously WTF!

We come home and see a couple and find:

a couple of city orange cones in our yard

a patch of asphalt where a part of our bushes used to be (which look ridiculous, if you are going to that, then put in concrete it now looks like crap

broken tree and bush branches thrown back into the yard

and dirt thrown back into the bushes

To sum it up it, this was the intersection of retarded and ridiculous. Welcome to Retardulous. (thanks Mrs. Boski)

So we called the cops and had them come out and see it. The officer was nice enough to come out talk to us and give us a name to call the next day.

Since Mrs. Boski had a ton of pressing issues at work, I volunteered to stay home and try to get answers. So I was out in the sunshine today, but not for reasons I wanted.

I called the city and they are going to looking into it. They sent out someone to take a look. The guy actually was a neighbor of ours. We talked and he informed me that someone probably complained about the that spot. The area in question, the sidewalk does get narrow, and there is a light pole in the middle. So that someone probably called and said that they could not navigate their wheelchair, or whatever through. So it has to be opened up to allow proper access. Which I completely understand and would have been happy to clear that out and let the city put in pavement. But no one even called us, or even sent us a letter. If I find out who it is they may get a right thrashing. Okay, I can't thrash them, but I feel better for getting that out. But I will express displeasure to them that they did not even extend the courtesy to tell us they had a problem. I have a feeling this is the same person who came out and ripped some bushes out of our beds and threw them out in the street. Who ever you are, you are a bastard and may you consume some really bad soup.

The guy from the city, was surprised at what he saw, and let me know that he was going to yell at someone, because it look ridiculous. This is not over. Team Boski will get answers. I just worry that the city will soon violate our neutrality and invade us.

And still my roto hoops team sucks ass. Great.

Monday saw another installment of the continuing decline of civilization "Wobbling and Flumbling on Ice with C-List Celebs". And again I did not see the spills I had hoped for. The only "star" hitting the ice was Todd Bridges, who I felt bad for. The guy did his best and came along way in a short time, but that ended Todd's time on the show. Well now he can pick up those manager shifts at Denny's in Culver City.

Notes from the show:

Mr. Jenner, Joan Rivers called and she is asking you to tone down on the face lifts. What is the deal with that Bruce, what did you need corrective surgery after doing "Can't Stop the Music"?

"Funny Man" "David Coulier" again put up a dull performance. I think one judge put it as, "you did nothing out there". I was just waiting for the shot of "Dave's" "agent" looking into the camera and saying. "Now you can see why I can even book him as a party clown."

Another interesting thing about "Dave" and Nancy's performance. They used a stool as a prop which was an apt metaphor for them. Well she's wooden and he's just stool.

The Audience - I think that the producers of the show have them boo when the judges give low scores. Look you slacked jaw yokels. Sir John Nicks has forgotten more about skating than any of you will ever know. Look the man is training the Sasha Cohen. So suck it if he give Debbie Gibson a bad score because she f'ed up. Seriously people.

The Host - Mr. Hamilton, I am glad you survived cancer and you had a great career, but can you stop yelling in octaves that piss off every animal with in a 3 block radius of my home. Love the energy, but I am not in love with the energy.

Jillian Barbarie - Hmmm a Fox show and Jillian's a Fox personality. And let's see, oh Jillian you competitivley skated before, so I don't think that would be unfair or anything. But how would Fox allow this, since their entertainment and news departments are pillars of integrity? (I know there are tribes in the Amazon yet to be discovered that knew that joke was coming.) Of all people, they picked her. A woman so annoying that Mother Teresa would take a swing at her. Saying she is shrill would be an offence to shrill. But this week, Jillian ran into problems. She suffered a groin pull. Maybe all those years working in those truck stop bathrooms is catching up. Hey I am here all week.

Coming up Bowling with Animal Stars

Well my year in sports. The Broncos run to glory was beaten into a an Orange and Blue paste Sunday, by the Steelers. Denver had no answers and Evil Jake made a brief appearance at the end of the 1st half to effectively end the competitive phase of the AFC Championship. Oh well, I could not expect the White Sox and Broncos to win at the same time, that would probably have exhausted any good luck or karma for at least 40 years.

The Broncos did have a good year, even with the disappointing end, but they played way above expectations. Now we will see what happens with them in 2005. I did not realize that they are way over the cap, but hopefully we can keep the important parts and build from this year. Hopefully this will be like 1996 came out of no where then become favorites to win the Super Bowl and then soil themselves at home. So that mean we go and win it all in 2006. Probably not, but that is the great thing about football is that seasons are now being won in March, April, May and June, with the roster moves and draft picks.

With the Bronco loss it does mean I can enjoy the Super Bowl and not sweat it out.

So congrats to the Steelers who have more than earned this trip. Now I am rooting for them to win it all so the King of the Desert Hooligans can see his team win it after the many near misses.

I just real surpassed that Vegas has made them a 3 1/2 favorite. Even though the AFC is head and shoulders above the NFC this year. I still thought that with Seattle's win they would have been given the nod, but in the next too weeks this line is going to move. I think it may get to Pittsburgh at 5 1/2. I just see so many people getting on the Steelers. Then come back to about 4 1/2 - 4. I can already see the Seahawks using this for motovation over the next two weeks.

Speaking of that I do expect we will see an entertaining game, unlike the majority of Super Bowls in the past. Which never stopped me from watching. But even I get tired of all the hype. That is why College Football needs a playoff system, so they can play that Championship Game the weekend before the Super Bowl. Hey, just a thought.

Well I have to get back to the exciting world of data entry.

Last night we watched Skating with Celebrities. Look my wife should not be forced to watch the NFL network and ESPN 24 hours a day. Even though I am against "reality" TV there are some that just can not be avoided. This is one of them.

First, I think they should have named the show Skating with Stars. Sure that would be too close to Dancing with the Stars. But who are we kidding. Everyone know that Fox steals anything that is not bolted down. Also, looking at the caliber of "celebrities" the use of the phrase stars would be logical. Since these people are all fiery bodies of gas.

I do not condone violence or brutality, but I watched in hopes of seeing C-list stars injure themselves, not seriously. Okay I am looking into seeing someone about this.

Even though I did not get the amount of thrills, spills and chills I had hoped, the thought of it is still there, so I am in.

There was a seriously missed opportunity at comedy last night. They were talking to "funny man" David Coulier who was asked by one of the judges, "What would you rather be holding? A hockey stick or Nancy Kerriagn? His answer was Nancy, but what he should have said was,

"Let's see, one is wooden and angular and the other one I can shoot a hockey puck with. Hmmm."

Again it is just one man's opinion.

Thanks again for viewing my shame and please fill out the comment cards.

What was supposed to be just a few week assignment just keeps getting extended. Another busy week doing administrative scut work (killing the brain cells one data entry key stroke at a time). Again do not get me wrong, I am drawing a check to fund that future kelp farm I have always wanted. The people here are nice and I have some healthcare administrations skills, but even if they offered me a job, I think I would say, "thanks, but no thanks." The underground thing is a pain (please sue Devo's "Working in a Coalmine"), but the other thing that gets me.

The half hour lunch.

But Matt that means you get out a half hour earlier.

Yeah, yeah save it. I hated it at Disney and I hate it here.

To me I like having an hour where "the man can't touch me". The other problem with only a half hour is that due to the location, I am stuck at the hospital. The big treat is getting on a tram to go the mall. Hmmm I am craving an Orange Julius right now.

I enjoy getting out of the office and being away from from my desk. I can let the sense of dread and tedium subside even if it is ever so briefly.

I know I should not gripe, it's not like I am Jurgis and I am working my shift at Brown and Company packing meat.

Maybe I should just realize that I am a square peg in this round hole world and should chuck it all and write "history".

While you here.

It has been busy to the point where I have not had a chance to ramble about the Broncos win Saturday night (yes, it was a bad call on the PI, I am not going to argue that and Bailey's Int has questions). It was not too long ago on this little blog, I had so many questions about this team and it's direction. Now they are one game away from the Super Bowl. And now their chances of getting there are much improved. I am not saying Sunday will be a walk in the park. If Denver had to go to Indy it would have been trying to scale Everest in flip-flops, now it is only trying to scale K-2 with one bunny slipper and one flip flop. But if Denver loses I can live with the Steelers going on, I will be bummed, but not catatonic. It would also make my friend the King of the Desert Hooligans very happy.

As for the NFC, I think we are going to have ourselves a good old-fashion rake fight. I think this game will be very entertaining and I think Carolina can pull one off (cue for all of you out there to bet on Seattle). I think Team Potted Meat fate is in the hands and the skull of Alexander and his bruised brain. If he can play then he opens up their passing game. If Seattle wins it will have the distinction of having the ugliest uniforms ever to play in a Super Bowl.

More on this as the week goes on.

With the whole Abramoff scandal and ensuring trial's, it made me think wistfully about one of my favorite political corruption cases. Let's go back in time to 1980 and Abscam. It was bribery, grainy video, corruption and shame. It had it all.

All of those memories made me think that CSPAN really needs to start a third channel. CSPAN - Classic. Just like ESPN Classic.

Just think:

Seeing Tip O'Neal as he battles Reagan and the Republicans, all the while he fights against sobriety. You can not tell me there is not a tape of him and Teddy getting ripped. Ripped to the point that would have made Otis from Mayberry blush.

Iran-Contra - Let's look back see how a president, who may have been incapacitated, avoids troubles. As his minions sell dangerous weapons to Iran. Totally going against Rapping Ronnies whole "we do not negotiate with terrorist" mantra .

The Wonderful World of Watergate - See how the Constitution is supposed to work, and that a power crazy president who breaks the law was brought to justice. Wait that might anger people if they realize that what our Fearless Leader, who not even qualified to be Assistant Manager at a Stuckey's, has committed even more brazen violations of the Constitution.

This Old House 'The K Street Addition' - Bob Villa and Jack Abramoff look at how to renovate PAC's, Lobbyist and other Beltway Cronies. So they can graft like new.

Senate Hearing Bloops, Bleeps and Blunders - See all the stuff that never saw the light of day.

Legislative Buzzer beaters - You will witness the Congress work hard and pass important legislations just as the session about to close. See all the pork barreling action you crave. See how bridges to nowhere and $800 hammers are attach themselves like big ugly smelly barnacles.

Who needs the Improve - enjoy hours of fun, as you hear the comic styling of "B-1" Bob Dornan, Jessie Helms and Strom "I used to hang with Jeff Davis" Thurmond.

Fabulous Filibusters - See people talk and talk and talk and talk.

From across the Pond - For those who how are fans of the British Parliament you will get hours of the best back bench hazing from the House of Commons.

And for after dark - "The Clarence Thomas Confirmation Hearings" the unrated version.

Now who is with me.

As Head groundskeeper here at Bushwood, I would like to apologize for some of the entries that look a bit mangy. The computer I have the greatest access to, and blog from has some issues. I have to e-mail them to Blogger. Why? Because for some reason the person before me jacked up this machine and caused is to react to Blogger and almost everything else like it has Bell's Palsy. So the text looks funny and some pages it will not format right. So, I spend like 5 minutes scrolling down to see the text on a page. The settings for display are of no help. My options are large, larger for the blind, which would make this problem even worse. Thanks to the screwed up visuals, I can get in to Editing/Posting area, but I can not type anything in (Maybe for the reading public that for the best). So I have to type it up on Word, copy it to Yahoo and mail it to Blogger. Come on there were less moves in the 16th game of the World Chess Championships when Kasparov beat Karpov. Little known fact: Karpov lost but his late Bishop to Knight 4 and brilliant use of the Pozen Defense, was enough for the underdog to cover the 4 1/2 piece spread. Vegas took a bath that weekend.

Today I am at another PC, so this will hopefully be better, just the same lovable writing gaffes you have grown to love. But now with 73% less Yahoo ads.

Please enjoy "The Blair Warner is a Bitch Project".

Which Gilded Age President would be the best fit for a TV-Sitcom?

Rutherford B. Hayes

James Garfield

Chester A. (I have got bitchen mutton chops) Arthur

Grover Cleveland

Benjamin Harrison

Grover Cleveland Version 2.0

William McKinley

My choice would have been both Grover Cleveland's. But Mr. Boski what do you mean both Grover Cleveland's? Well the history books list him as the only non-consecutive termed president. But in actuality, Jules Verne cloned him. Mr. Verne cloned Grover because of a two-week opium bender with Thomas Nast and P.T. Barnum. Nast and Barnum had been berating Verne that he was a hack and shooting a cannon at the moon was "dumber than Napoleon the III". So he vowed to show them and show them he did. He created a fantastic cloning machine and cloned Mr. Cleveland as he was finishing up as the governor of New York and was embarking on his presidential campaign. The machine was only 98% ready, which lead to the copy that had an overactive shenanigan gland (that was according to leading phrenologists of the time). But sadly Verne's had some serious DT's coming down from the opium along with giant vultures dispatched by thHapsburggs destroyed the machine and any hope of fixing GC 2.0. Oh the mischief this caused. This was the basis of Verne's book "The Will of an Eccentric".

Another little know fact about this absolutely true nugget of American history was that Grover Cleveland 2.0, cost Grover Cleveland the 1888 election. This was achieved by 2.0's offending enough Ohioans with his drunken two-fisted tirades through the state, and his constant replacing the B in Buckeye with an F when talking about the Buckeye State. Grover Cleveland the Orginal, finally was able to corral 2.0 and end his reign of terror. In an little know 1892 duel, 2.0 was wounded from a derringer shot from Grover the Original's facial hair. Wounded and ashamed, 2.0 then fled to Portugal. Where he then raised a cat army that was poised to challenge the balance of power in Europe. Sadly, when 2.0 was ready to pounce upon Eurpoe, it all came to a tragic end. In 1908, he made the mistake of wearing a general's uniform made entirely out of tuna. His army then ate him. The cat army was not heard from again until the 1928 Olympic Games when they tried to enter as the independent state of Hairballistan.

As you can see that this has all the makings of a hit show on the WB with Chad Michael Murray. Who is with me?

Well I did say I was going to do this but it's going to be half assed, like most of what you find here. Well what about 2005? It was the best of times and it was the so - so of times (That was Dickens first attempt. Well I will say seeing the White Sox finally grab the brass ring was the tops. While not being employed full time for anyone was a refreshing kick in the nuts, that and parts of HFH trip to Kauai.

So where to begin.

Blogging -

Good

- I think I have improved the blogging. I have tried to take out the Victor Hugo long- wilderness.

- Meeting some awesome bloggers for drinks in L.A.

Bad

- I am still the one writing it. I am trying to find someone with better writing chops and life experiences than myself. It will really help get this blog off the ground. Thank god, I do not have to handwrite this. Trust me, my penmanship looks like a seismic graph and it constantly at 3.2 tp 3.4 on the Ricther Scale.

Travel - I actually made a couple of trips out of the Coastal Table in 2005.

San Diego for the BH birthday, enjoyed great Mexican Food and drink, while staying at the worst LaQuinta Inn, in America.

Atlanta - A short trip to the "dirty south" for a HFH meeting. It was my first "business trip" from Kenner. Drank Coke from it's natural spring and was almost eaten by a polar bear.

Kauai - 10 days in a garden paradise building homes, meeting some fantastic people and
seeing spectacular sites. But it came at a price. Some of our group, fantastic great people,
but there were some who I wish never to see again. If you ever speak to me in person I
could tell you more.

Las Vegas - the BH's birthday gift to me that was so awesome it finishes a respectable second to the Sox winning it all this year.

2006 - It will be a return engagement to Northern Ireland with a side trip to Dublin for HFH. Then when we are done a couple of days in London.

Music/TV/Movies

Bad

- Lost all the music I had stol . . . er procured thanks to a crapy hard drive from Fry's.

- The number of entertainment shows is still growing.

- Ryan Seacrest still walks the earth.

- NBC's bastardization of the Office, what you didn't screw the pooch enough on Coupling?

- The bitter end of Arrested Development - which was a more real look at the OC than the OC.

The Bad that will not apologize for

Andy Milanokis - I am sorry everyone, but I love it even though everyone hates it. Okay begging your mocking.

Good

- I-pod - I know understand.

- Recovery of some of the lost music. Thanks to the Red Head IT man.

- BBC America for another year of bringing me great programs. Wire In the Blood, Waking the Dead, Little Britain, The Night Detective and most importantly The Mighty Boosh.

- Snoop Dogg in concert, Yes I said that. Love him or hate him. He puts on a show. He was the last act Summer Jam and the man played for over 2 hours with a full band and shit load of special guest.

LCD Soundsystem - Saw them at the Mouse of Blues for free and they were great.

(Look, I am all over the board musically so please bear with me.)

The World and the dumb bastards running it.

I do not think I could have a good section as long as Enos is still president.

Sports

Good

The Ice Cream Fantastic Journey of the White Sox

UCLA Football - hopefully we will actually be able to saty within 35 of USC.

Did I mention the White Sox

Mike Shanahan's greatest coaching job - Look Jake Plummer threw 7 Int's all year. He made the Cleveland Boatlift work. He nearly had 2 1,00 yard rushers and he the rookie DB's have played way above expectations. Give Coach of the Year to Lovie Smith, but give Shanahan the Nobel. Jake Plummer only 7 Ints.

Getting Hockey back

Northern Ireland beating England in Belfast for the first time in 78 years

I finally won a NCAA pool

Saw Vince Young go crazy and show that he was a man amongst boys as he beat, Michigan. Okay I was there a year early, but a great game anyway.

Bad

The Broncos getting the bejezus beaten out of them by the Colts.

The Broncos select "Maurice Clarett"

The loss of Indoor Lacrosse. Yes another one of my vices.

UCLA getting the wrong end of a broom handle in an uncomfortable place by USC.

Ireland not making the World Cup

Well kids that is all I have for you on the year that was. Hopefully 2006 will be year of better blogging.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: After 2 failed drug tests Englebert Humperdink was disqualified and the Mandrel Sisters Family New Year and Ultimate Fighting Championship was won by Charo.

It was 85 degrees today. Sorry they made me work again today. Stupid job.

I am sorry good people, but I did promise you something and now I have not delivered. Well in George Bush's American that makes me a hero, but here with the good people of Bloggy Town it means I am a bum. I am working on it, but sadly I have made the mistake of actually trying to get work done at work. I know I am shocked as much as you are.

It’s January and you know what that means. It’s John Fucenda Appreciation Month. That time when the Super Bowl movies are rolled out and played over and over again. I should know I have spent about 12% of my waking hours watching them. (The only ones I will not watch are XXI, XXII and XXIV. Those are snuff films to me and I will not condone that behavior.) Now if this info had been on the SAT’s, I would have been an Oxford and a Fullbright scholar, sadly they never put anything good on the SAT’s.

But yours truly is still hard trying to get back into a regular blogging pattern. I swear. Oh look they are playing the highlights of Super Bowl VIII. Got to go.

trying to find something interesting to say. "The Boski 2005 Blog-End Review" is just not writing itself. I have a lot of ideas and you all have seen me ramble through a couple of pages of jibber jabber, but right now I can't think of what to say. I have so many ideas and random tangents, but where do I start? I think it will be safe to say that when the 2005 Blog in review is made it will be guarantee to:

Excessive references to the White Sox title

A Cheers and Jeers section (oh how original)

Embarrass myself with my poor writing form and lame antics. Think of Circus With The Stars with poor punctuation.

Boski's review of the temp jobs he has held.

Shout outs (again original) Example: "DJ Liquid Paper would like to give big ups to the Norwegian Iron Workers". As you can see it is a rating winner, like 95% of what Fox produced in the late 80's and early 90's.

A couple of Gilded Age President references

Most importantly, make very little sense.

I am hoping that this will be completed before Jan 1st, of 2008.

Right now I have been too busy working in the bunker and commenting on everyone else blog. I hope to be free of my servitude, so I can be back amongst the non-mole people.

Thank you for your patronage, also remember time is running out to Order the Pay Per View event of 2006. The Mandrel Sisters: New Years Eve Ultimate Fighting Championship Bash. See who comes into the Octagon: Tito Ortiz, Tony Bennett, Tank Abbott, the cast of Mama's Family and Englebert Humperdink. So see who will emerge from the octagon, as The Ultimate Fighting Champion!

There is going to be singing, dancing and Mayhem!

Oh how I wish we could do the same thing here in California.

From Bedrock to Rock Bottom. It is sad to see this happen and I want to see him get help. But I pose a question, if he was a couple years younger and left-handed. Do you think he would be getting calls from a couple MLB teams?

I think Putin's adviser got canned because he wants Putin to return this. My advice to the ex-Minister is to get some boxes and find a new home, out of Russia, and fast.

Oh joy, just what the world needed. So, if this site is going to tell me who the "real Kevin Federline" is.  Does this mean it will be a pay site that does nothing, and reeks of pot and Old Milwaukee?

No not Mr. Vargas! He can switch back to caffinated now.

I am shocked, not our Courtney (Clean and Sober) Love. Sure, she is getting any of that cleaning deposit back.

AFC East team gives Orange County boy gift. His team will get to play at home. Eric, again thank you, I would have been happy with a card.

You're damn right it is.

We can move toward preping for Ground Hogs Day.

Well I do hope everyone had a good weekend. I am back in the basement making the hospital I am temping at safe from the Huns. It was a great weekend. I just wish, like most of you had more time to recover from it. But the sooner I get back to the grind, the sooner I can get back to working above ground. Don't get me wrong these are nice people and the work is interesting, but I will go nuts here in the bunker.

To night as I blog, I blog from my former residence located in home of the afterbirth, Placentia. It is good to be at home for Christmas. After a long and busy day I am winding down.

So Team Boski has accomplished a lot since Friday afternoon.

Got my I-Pod. Up till 2 am pulling music. Yeah!

Could not get it to work. Boo!

Woke up and got bread for the wife, for the dish she was bringing for Christmas breakfast.

While getting bread, picked up to cookies that had black frosting and said "Coal". So those are going to my nephews tomorrow. Then after that then they get the gifts. You have to keep them on their toes.

Stopped at Apple Store, could not get an appointment time and could not wait around because it was time to meet the BH mom.

Lunch at Pinot Provence with the BH and her mom. We had a wonderful meal and time. This was an excellent restaurant. So nice I thought about asking myself to leave, but I did use my silverware properly. Sadly I lost all their confidence when I asked where the playland was. Go figure.

Made it back to the Apple Store where they restored the I-Pod, so I did not destroy it with in 24 hours of getting it (I am getting better).

Wrapped gifts, and packed up the car.

Watched some of the afternoon game. Which I have to say thank you Eric. I am very happy that the Bills went into Cincinnati and won. That added with the Broncos buggy whipping the Raiders mean a home playoff game, and a bye. Merry Christmas indeed.

Took in Mass back in the P-town as the kids call it. We were going up to meet with my mom and one of my sisters, but I got a pleasant surprise. I ran into a great guy I worked with at Disney and his wife. I had not since Erk in months. He is a class guy . Oh I have many a wonderful story to tell, but I will tell you them another day. But this is the man who, while working on the sailing ship Columbia, at Disney got a complaint from Space mountain for being too loud. If you have not been to the park or not familiar, those attractions are pretty far apart. It was good to see him and his wife and hopefully we will see him again soon.

Took in a pleasant dinner.

Finally came back to the Boski Hunting lodge to doze off for a quick Winter's nap.

I will say that the last two nights have helped in my Holiday malaise. I am feeling more holidayish and my nog levels are near normal. What has helped with this change? Fog. Yes, said fog. This morning going to get bread the fog made things look like they had a dusting of snow on them. And I did not have to freeze or put chains on. It also make people's holiday lights look both a lot better.

So, I do want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, Kwanza, Boxing Day and anything Druid holiday I may be missing. I do wish everyone safe travels for themselves and family this season. I also hope that everyone can enjoy some peace and peace of mind. In this world those are to items that seem to be always seem too scarce. Also I hope everyone is able to spend time with the people who matter to them and make the most of that time and remember those who aren't with us.

Now back to the "comedy".

I want to thank all of you who have read, or tried to read this bit of literary brickabrack. We at the Boski Corp will strive to improve so be can bring you better blogs and blog related accessories.

Thank you for your support, and we will leave the blog light on for you.

I have realized that I am totally not feeling it this Holiday season...errrr I mean Christmas Season. I do not need to bring the War on Christmas to my doorstep. But then by saying I am not feeling it, which means I hate the Baby Jesus and I want to destroy America.

Even out here where the season only changes from cool to warm. I could always get myself in the holiday sprit. Not this year, I am just not into it. Maybe on the 24th it will hit me that Boxing Day is near, and then I will make like the Grinch and embrace the Holiday.

Next to St. Harold's Day and Feast of McLean Stevenson, I love Boxing Day. The holiday where we celebrate Baby Jebus beating Leon Spinks, in a unanimous decision (he won on all three wise men’s cards) at Caesars to win the Heavyweight title. And also where he performed the miracle of taking 4 spins and 2 Whammies parlaying it into $10,000, an Apple IIe and a trip to Acapulco on Press My Luck. Shortly afterward he had to flee to Idaho, from Don King and the Nevada Boxing Commission (something wrong with a baby fighting a grown man). Then Baby Jebus with the help of Mr. T and Edna Garrett lead the Cardinals out of St. Louis into the desert where they built a workshop. A workshop to make New Coke and vacuums for all the good children and penguins. The Baby Jebus then got a 4-picture deal from Sony and left Mr. T and Ms. Garrett to run the workshop alone. Then Mr. T gave birth to Yahoo Serious, who then took over for his parents after he leg wrestled Jabba the Hutt to a draw at the third Farm Aid.

So to celebrate I put out a plate of uncooked ham, lanolin and cans of Schlitz
out for him to eat and hopefully I will find cans of New Coke and a vacuum under the old Cactus Tree.
I hope no one is offended by this, just having a larf. I am cool with Jesus and his old man. I think they would appreciate some levity.
I would have had this done sooner, but it was too cold today. Only 70.
Good night and please yodel safely.

I was outside and it's hovering around 80 degrees. I do love it here in December.

So break out those Khomeini masks, kids!

It's great to see that things are getting better in the Mideast.

It was a crisp beyond fashionable fall day when the Better Half and I embarked on a weekend trip, to the finest American city established in the 20th Century. From our arrival until we the time we went to get out airport shuttle the trip was outstanding. It was like "Rockin with Dokken".
We packed a lot into our 2 plus days:
Fell in love with the Venetian Hotel. It far surpassed my expectations. I know it is not the real Venice, but this place was impressive.
Walked up and down the Strip. Our travels along the strip took us to Venice, Ancient Rome, Paris, the Mediterranean, old Hollywood, New York, Monte Carlo, and the Far East (The Imperial Palace was looking really sketchy. The casino looks like it may have the build flu (more on that later), I could go on and on.
Did not lose all my money - which is a miracle.
Won all two of my football bets
Saw two baseball greats - Pete Rose signing at the Forum Shop. Would have said hello, but I remember I read the Dowd report and realized he is douche. Rollie Fingers, walked up and said hello to him at the Grande Canal Shops.
Took a ton of pictures of the buildings, many you may find boring, but I have been really in to taking architecture photos of late.
Was cold.
Had some great meals
Drank out of a plastic Eiffel Tower
Lounged in our beautifully appointed room.
Again, had a great time, just so much to do and see.
We saw and did as much as we could, in our time. We were both bummed when it dawned on us that we had to come home. We sat waiting for shuttle and we compared out mental notes and signed.
We will be back sooner than seven year, but now we turn our focus to April. When we take the Traveling Boski Road Show back to Belfast.
Next stop Crossgar Vegas!
I will have some photos later I promise, but I will probably bore you with a little more of the Vegas travels over the next few days. Till then:
Don't Fake the Funk on the Nasty Dunk!

I have returned reluctantly from Las Vegas. We had a great time. I will have more later. I will try to give you the blogging audience, an entertaining re-cap, with photos. But after reading this blog for months, it may be a monumental task. But most likely you will get a hackneyed rambling that will set travel writing back at least 400 years.

Stay tuned.

The other day I was reflecting on one of my favorite moments when I really stepped into it. Lets take a trip back to those heady days of 1985 when I was an incredibly dorky Junior High School student. You know Jr. High really sucked. I think that 95% of people in therapy can trace some or all of their issues from that time. But enough about that let us get to the story.
I was sitting in my English class on an average day, in an education facility located at the western end of metropolis of Placentia. Near the great Tri-City Lake region, which I would like to note almost hosted the Goodwill games of 1988. If only Ted had just read the damn letter. The class was discussing poetry. The teacher was talking about the different styles and forms of poetry. She threw out a couple of ideas and thoughts to class and the students were some ideas back. So at this time, there was still a level of talking going on in the class. Then the teacher then posed a question to us. She asked what you would see inside a dog. Now she was asking on metaphorical level, stupid me unfortunately I thought to be a real comedian and I said the first thing that came into my head. So I said, "dogshit". Now I was not yelling this, I just wanted to mutter it under my breath just to humor myself. Thinking that I could slip that one in without anyone hearing it, since people were talking. I was not trying to make a show, or be cool. Since I could not do either with out looking like a total loser. Sadly I was wrong, so very wrong. Because when I did, the class happened to be at complete silence. My luck, the one time a group of Jr. High school students were all quiet at once. It was quiet enough that all of my classmates could hear this dumbass put his foot in his mouth. It was one of those moments where you could hear the record player scratch to a stop.
I looked up from my notes and saw the teacher's expression change from amused, to stunned, and to horrified. I was waiting for the kind of Christmas Story moment where she says,
"What did you say?"
"That's what I thought you said, get up to the office now"
To make things worse, I could also feel every eye in the class looking at me with a mix of shock, horror (even more than usual) and amazement that this jackass said something they actually listened to. I was beyond deer in the headlights.
How I am going to explain this to my parents and siblings. I actually thought about just standing up and saying "Should I just walk up to the office right now?" My head began to swim. I was drowning in questions about what going to happen next?
Will I have to fill out a White Card, or even worse a Blue Card?
How will this affect my permanent record?
If so will my life be ruined, where I would be able only to work at meaningless temp jobs with no future. (Hey, I have had a string of meaningless temp jobs. Oh dogshit! This did go on my permanent record. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!)
Will the Vice Principle hit me with an aluminum or wood bat?
Will I be able to enroll for AARP, while in detention?
Could I plead insanity? I could say, that since I still thought that Al Haig was still “in charge” that this was okay?
Did I really have to work blue? Because now, I will never be able to work the big rooms for doing blue material.
Does this school still have a firing squad?
Will heaven or hell have video games? (Which I did hazard a guess. Heaven - ColecoVision, Hell - Atari 2600, and I always end up with the broken paddle.)
Will someone tell me what Willis was talking about before I die?
Would I really be missed?
Does this mean I fail this class at this very moment, or will that be come shortly?
But then something very strange happened. The teacher looked at me and said the following and I swear to you this is the truth,
"Well, Matt that was not as bad as what one student said they saw inside of a gay man"
WHAT?????? Did she just say that?
She then calmly proceeded to continue on with class as if nothing happened.
Wait a second did I just dodge a bullet?
For the rest of that class I sat in stunned silence. I felt like Cougar out of Top Gun. I had lost the "edge".
Afterwards my man Eric laughed his ass off. This is a story only a couple of people know, in fact my family still does not know about it. I had not told my wife about this story until a couple months ago, which she laughed hysterically over. So I thought I would let you all in and bask in the shame of "Mr. Boski the Early Years"

Hey a question for everyone. Is there Blogger looking or acting funnier than usual, or is it just the computer I am on?

Not much going on kids. Yesterday I turned Vincent Edward "Bo" Jackson. Mr. Jackson if you are nasty. Really did not do a lot yesterday, both the BH and I were too busy to do much. So we are  putting our energies toward getting geared up for Friday. To which my wonderful wife suprised me yesterday with one last fact about the trip. That we will be flying, which will be ice cream fantastic!

I do love driving out there and that would have been a lot of fun, but coming back would have taken the joy out of it. Driving back would be like having to watch a movie with the crappitude of Howard the Duck and Gigli put together, but it will be as long or longer than a Peter Jackson movie, uncut.

I will miss going to the Bun Boy and standing next to the greatness that is the World Largest Thermometer.

Or having the satisfaction of stopping by and see the Bonnie and Clyde Death Car at Stateline, but not swearing in 16 different langauges while sitting in traffic outside Barstow will be worth it.

I am so going to make my millions playing the Carnival Wheel.

Please forgive me and my Vegas giddiness, it has been 7 years.

Okay, I am off the soap box. Had a good weekend spent most of it throw my nephew around, in a good way people. You don't have to call child services. My nephew really like the Nutcracker and we had a good time around SCR.

The BH and I also actually had fun Friday night, the BH Christmas party was fun, so a good time was had.

Sunday rocked. Broncos eked out a win and the Bolts and chiefs soiled themselves. One step closer to locking up the division. Need to get Saturday's game vs. the Bills. I know this will anger my man Eric (who will be comforted by making the roto playoffs) and Slappar.

Had a wonderful evening at Castle Von Boskistein, as me and my sister celebrated our birthdays. I so scored. I am now apart of I-pod nation. All I have to do is order it. I thought my hate of Apple had to end and I got so tired of burning CD's. Also it was time to give back to the company that gave us the US Festival. My family gave me a gift cert to go get one. They were also awesome enough to also get me the Simpson season 6, Del Taco gift certs, White Sox World Series Shirt and DVD. Which I went home and watched the hell out of last night. And I will watch it again, just watch me. I will do it.

Well I have to review medical records so I have to go. We will see if all those years of watch Quincy is going to come in handy.

This just does not sit right with me.

This weekend we lost a comedy icon with the passing of Richard Pryor.

Well I wished, but this weekend will be busy.

Tonight, I am off to an to my wife's office party. Oh joy! Nothing like finishing a week of work, fighting traffic, just so you can get home, put on a suit and go to a party that you do not want to be at. Hell, my wife wants to be there even less. Look if this was a casual affair hang out have a couple brews and chill then I am in, but this no.

I am sorry 95% of all office parties suck and the money would be better spent giving it the employees or putting toward healthcare. Office Holiday parties are only enjoyable for those who plan them or those people in your office who love making asses out of themselves. The last Christmas Party I enjoyed as an employee was when I was working at Disney, nearly a decade ago. I am still bitter from a couple years ago where I had to go from Orange County to La Jolla on Friday night (there was 2 1/2 hours I am never getting back) to a company holiday party. Which really suck like a chest wound. To compound being stuck in traffic was that it was my birthday and I had to be at this party, since it was mandatory. I loved the company, hated the Christmas party, I was very happy that I was able to get out of the last two I was there for. But I am looking forward to an underwhelming time.

Saturday - Plan to go up to Coliseum and see if the Bruins have arrived yet. I pretty sure they got the wrong date, because it is clear they failed to show up last Saturday.

Also the Better Half and I are taking my nephew Peanut to the Junior version of the nutcracker. I know most of you are shocked that I am going to the ballet. And most of you thought that the only culture I get is yoghurt.

Sunday - Watching Football and going up to the Showpalace of the Placentia Riviera, Casa de Boski. Going up to celebrate my a couple of B-day's, the sister closest in age to me and myself. It will be good to hang with the family.

Lastly, begin the prep for Vegas. I plan to use my Keno skill for good and come home a zillionare. If not then I will use it for evil and level the place.

Well I have to scram. I will try to write.

VIVA DEL TACO, VIVA NAUGLES!

USA Soccer gets a shitty draw.

Can you say France 98?

I knew you could.

England gets an easy draw, but nothing is ever easy for England in the World Cup.

So it looks like Knight Ridder is up for sale. Wow one day your an 80's Icon, and next your being bought and sold like Karl Rove's houseboys (errr....Allegedly). What did Devon's coke habit and Michaels perms make the company go broke? I know who is behind this, it's got to be Garth Knight. What's next they going to sell the watches from Voyagers, or Manamal's pelt.

Where does this end people? WHY? WHY? WHY?

Sorry everyone that I have even less to say these days. I am working hard on a very dangerous assignment, data entry. I am being held. . . er working in a basement at a hospital. I think they have me down here so if the hospital is destroyed I can work on data entry till help arrives.

Oh hold on, the canary just fell off the perch. Hmmm, I think that may be a bad sign. I should not complain, they are very nice, it's $15 an hour, and I have not been asked to a lecture on 16th century Flemish farming, yet. But being down in the missile silo sucks because being that time of the year when the days are the shortest. It sucks a lot of ass to see a little bit of sun when you get in and a little at lunch, but seeing none when you leave is just plain wrong. But it keeps me off the streets.

Congrats to my man Eric on his playoff run. Please tell me what its like to win at roto.

Also it looks like the Sox and Frank will be parting ways. Sad, but it is business. I do hope Frank hangs them up and does not try to play for anyone else. I do not want another Jerry Rice/Seahawks, M.J./Wizards, Broadway Joe/Rams and the Say Hey Kid/Mets.

Holiday Pet Peeve Alert- Mr. President don't you have more pressing matters than hamming it up for a moronic Holiday Video. That F'ing Christmas Video that the White House releases is just so morbidly retarded. Those stupid Scotties running around. Hell, it looks like they are trying to do something. Could we at least get them to look Bin Laden? Another reason why I miss Clinton. His dog, Buddy, a lab. Now there is a dog. Come on Mrs. Beazley, seriously, you had to spell it with a Z. This alone should get the "No Child Left Behind" overturned. But the only thing positive to say about it is when they show W, talking to the dogs you can the sense that he feels comfortable talking to the dogs, since they are both on the same wave length, even though one still drinks from the toilet. My guess its the one wearing the suit.

Well back to data entry. I putting data into a computer called WOPR. Oh it is asking me if I want to play a game. Well sure, that sounds fun. What could happen. . .

Looks like they have found a new mammal in Borneo. Which means Paris Hilton will be lugging it around soon enoguh. I just hope it bites her repeatedly, so she can take another step on becoming as ugly as she is on the inside.

This was a very black weekend for Mr. & Mrs. Boski, well at least football wise.

Saturday I tried to watch the UCLA/USC game and I just had to stop watching. Lets just say that UCLA should not expect a call the next morning, and no SC will not respect them the next day either. USC also took $40 out UCLA's purse, and made a sandwich and left the kitchen a mess. Well that was not as bad as Texas tried to reenact the destruction of the American Buffalo.

That night we went out to watch my wife's high school team lose in the CIF semi's to a team that used to beat the stuffing out of us during my youth.

Then Sunday the Broncos lose a close one to the Chefs. Still 9-3 but that win would have put us in a great spot.

But to top it all. I lost the only two games I played on Madden, and both were game I lost in the last seconds. Arrrrrgggggg.

Paulie is staying, and we now have a lefthanded power hitter (if he can stay healthy) to protect him. But it all comes at a cost. The Sox lost a little of it's Titian pride as they traded CSUF alum Aaron Rowand for Thome. The team feels Christenson is ready to play CF, but A.R. did a great job, so a hearty thanks goes out.

Now the team has to figure out what it is going to do with Big Frank. The man was the Sox in the 90's, a multiple All-Star game appearances (the first White Sox to homer in an All-Star Game), and won 2 MVP's and was jobbed out of a third. I think it is the end of the road for him. His ankles and feet have been a problem for years and now it may be too much. But then he could prove me wrong. We will see, we will see.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. I have been busy with getting stuff done and recovering from the Holiday. I would like to say thank you to anyone of you out there who helped with my birthday/Christmas gift, look you all have done enough first the White Sox and now... whoa I just got a little lightheaded thinking about it, but Ron Dayne hitting not one hole but hitting two. In the same game, come on. Holy crap did I see that, did he save the Broncos on national television. Look I will say this now, skip giving Shanahan Coach of the Year. Just give him a Noble for science since he has been able to craft a 9-2 team with Dayne, the Cleveland Boatlift and Jake Plummer.

Other than that I have gotten a couple of things done, some shopping, some home repair, important football watching. You know the important stuff. Well it looks like my free time ends today. I wish I could have done more blogging on my time off, but then I do my best work when in captivity and without a dial up.

So I will make my pre-Boxing Day resolution, more grain alcohol and more blogging.

So again to all of you out in Bloggytown I wish you a belated Happy Holidays.

Man they are working me to death here. I am earning every cent I am being paid. This is really cutting into my time wasting exercises.

Well today ends my foray into the world GPS and vehicle tracking. It was just yesterday I started as a fresh faced lad, and now battle hardened veteran of a month. I think about the memories I as I reflect on the hours spent here (cue Kenny Roger's "Through the Years"). I realized that this is not what I did not want to do. The people here were great, very kind and patient, but the job and the customers sucked a lot of ass. Many of them I wish that their holiday are filled with swift kicks in the colon.

Well I must get going, I have to check imdb.com for something very important. Hmmmmm the filmography of Jimmy Walker, intresting.

Yesterday was blistering fury of action, on the most furious but tastiest blog this side of Ontario. Wasn't just yesterday I got to 300. Now I am at 375 and I am still making very little sense and in fact at this point I may have already stopped making sense.

I am still trying to figure out my blog's voice. Where do I take this blog? Other than running it, and the English language into the ground. I want to entertain you good people and since my off, off, off, off Broadway production of The Norman Fell Chronicles failed misarably (It was panned after just one performance at the TGIF foray in Brea, California). I have been at loss for good ideas. Well I am still hard at work trying to make all you at least chortle and maybe guffaw during the day.

Coming up next C.S.I. Liddsville.

Good to see Dick is back and as angry as ever.

I love to hear him say, what we were witnessing was "a wild departure" from the tradition of truth and good faith in conducting national debate". That's funny Dick thats the problem I have with you underling, sorry again I am always forgetting your boss. Mr. Dickus any good faith this administration had is gone with all the B.S. that has been allowed in Iraq, in our name. Let us not forget that little thing called the Downing Street Memo. And those guys are on our side. Also thanks to the atmosphere you help creare there was no room for any kind of opposing viewpoint on this war. If you did not support it, then you were either a coward or a traitor. Let us not forget that this junta also exposed a CIA Op. because it did not like that her husband questioned our information and reasons for this war.

I also love the whole, "well you Dems saw the same info as everyone else and supported the war". So shut you mouths and do what we say. Again it was information you provided, so it show that you are the world class douches for being so blind and ignorant, you are right though we should have made more of an effort to make you bastard explain yourselfs. That would have been fun.

And cute cuddly Dick also tossed out,

"What we're hearing now is some politicians contradicting their own statements and making a play for political advantage in the middle of a war,".

Wow, shame on those who want accountability and clear answers to an issue that will affect us for years. Let's not forget thanks to the taxes cuts, disasters and this war, we are working on not leaving any of kids behind when it comes to the national debt. They will all have enough.

and finally,

"The saddest part is that our people in uniform have been subjected to these cynical and pernicious falsehoods day in and day out." Hey Dickie what about those people in uniform subjected to falsehoods by the people who sent them. Again Dick you are right we should not think about under armored vehicles, stop-loss orders, lack of body armor, and serving our troops rotten food (thanks KRBie). All the while you are cutting VA benefits. Shame shame on us.

So Mr. Cheney please go make sweet, sweet love to blowtorch.

Ford announces a new incentive plan to help with sales. Maybe they will actually make some thing that is not a truck or a small nationsized SUV's that does not suck ass.

Hey Ford, how about also not trying to buy other manufacturer and try to screw them up, oh like Mazda and Volvo. Your doing just fine screwing up your own product. I am just trying to be helpful.

When after sneezing you are in pain from shoulders down through your hands that lingers for a little bit. Hmmm, it looks like I am going to have to put off taking up sniffing snuff. Damn, I was so looking forward to pulling out the old powdered wig.

Friday night the BH cemented the "Best Wife for Goofy Husband Award". She is taking me to a magical place. A place I have not been in seven years, Las Wonderful Vegas.

She was going to keep the location a surprise, but was tripped up accidentally by my sister. Who will be their with he husband/brother-in-law and all-around great guy, the same weekend as us. I will be chilling at the Venetian. There I will be headlining two shows nightly with Shecky Green opening. The last time I saw the place it was under construction. I hope I can remember the rules of gambling. Hey splitting face cards is good right?

Oh this is going to be like so awesome. Listen to me you think it was the week TigerBeat had Scott Baio on the cover. . . oh again I have said way too much.

One month away. I just have to get through the next month. Just in time, now I will be able to say I go to Vegas during its centennial. YEEEESSSSS!

Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles kicks some serious ass.

Drew Olson throwing for half a K against ASU. It hearkened back to the days of Cade McNown. He was one of the most exciting college QB's ever. I still get chills thinking about the comeback against SC in '96. Man did he flame out in the pros. Cade you should have read the fine print on that contract with Satan.

It was good to see them win. Wished they showed the effort in Tucson. But now the Bruins get two weeks to prepare to take on USC. Of what joy it would be if the Bruins end the streak, and keep the Trojans out of the Rose Bowl. Even though the Trojans should go even if they lose. I think (even though I hate to say it) they deserve to be there and play Texas. But then what do I know about college football, the "experts" think college football does not exist west of Oklahoma, except at USC.

Well kids I have been busy of late, but got some unexpected good news. This assignment is ending this week. This week has been just one big festering assclam of hate. I have been doing front desk duty the past two days which sucks ass. I can do it and I do "break" the person who is the receptionist, but 8 hours I just want to punch someone in the mouth. I hate the barrage of calls mostly for jackasses who think being put into voicemail is worse than being beaten with a rake. I keep hearing "I want to talk to someone about my account or bill no one gets back to me". Well if you improve that attitude and pay your bill in a timely matter maybe people would talk to you. To all of you people may someone punch you in the colon.

But Monday afternoon I got a pardon from the governor. Why do I feel more confident in the metaphorical governor in that phrase than I do in our alleged governor? I had just gotten back from a short lunch, in which I drove by the agency where I wanted to walk in and say, "I am done. I can not handle this any more", I was having my will to live being drained from me, my rep from the Temp agency came in. She said hello and then gave me a serious look, like "Matt we know you have been stealing weapons grade plutonium and pens and we know you running a midget rodeo out back." But it was better. She told me that they were moving the customer service department to Canada. Thank you NAFTA! I am going to be out of this assignment and I still look good doing it. But the only drawback to being a free man is I will be spending it cleaning our house as we will be having the BH's dad and wife coming down for a state visit. Yikes! There is so much shit to be done and I am not the man to do it, well do it right. But I will try. So it is back to free agent pool. I swear I think I am becoming the Vinny Testeverde of temps.

Oh P.S.

Hey Dick you new Chief of Staff is also an asshole as well. I really love that he help author the "torture memo". The Yahoo story I read said he is just like you and he take the limelight. Does this mean you and Rove had a vampire like child. Hey, I am just asking.

it makes me sad that we have had so many die in defense of this country and the freedoms we should cherish.

What makes me think this on Veterans Day?

First Bill O'Reilly step up you are a contestant on "The Biggest Jackass". I should not be surprised that you would say something this dumb. But I hold out hope that one day you will realize that you are an asshole and will think before you speak. Hey I do not mind we hold different political views, but seriously. You know what Bill it is people like you that make me say, "wow, I think Cromwell did not go far enough."

Second, Dick Cheney at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Mr. "I had other priorities so I need a deferment". Hell at least George went through the motions by hiding in the National Guard. I am glad we are honoring those who served and fell in combat defending this country. It just make me angry to see him a man who has a hand in "Messopotamia" (thanks Daily Show). You are such an ass.

Lastly, Alfred E. Newman. I would like to thank you Mr. President for your contributions on Veterans Day. Thanks to you, you have added to numbers of those who fallen. But then it was "Mission Accomplish" wasn't it? So you take today to try to prop up your mess.

Hey, I loved that you and the "cadre of crazy" are more concerned about who leaked where we are torturing people, than finding out who is leaking info about CIA ops, or that the wonderful war you lead us into was based on lies. Oh sure I am not a fan of Saddam and that the nation majority was held suppressed, but thanks to your quick thinking and action we screw it all up. You could not take the time to read or listen to your dad about Iraq. If you were going to fight this war you should have at least done it right. Now you have compromised our military and home land security. This, your tax cuts, and budget slashing, you wonder why people feel like this (it is a shame more could not have felt like this in Nov.) But hey you have the last laugh you in office for the next three years and if you play your cards right maybe more. So get some rest, "playing president" is tough work.

Good job Georgie.

that he is going to punch Pat Robertson in the mouth.

I glad to see that you have so much hate that you can share with everyone.

Good job Robertsonie!

It is not even nine yet and I am already done. Note to self ask for Motivation and Ambition for Christmas. But wait, that will take effort to write that down. Rats!

Hey Kristy Alley is no longer a fat actress, now just annoying one. Good for you Kristy.

I am not surprised. I just wish you could have done a better job on I and II. Come to think of it I do have a hankering to shoot an Ewok right now.

To our lovely Govenator, SCOREBOARD!

Oh the irony, Texas has voted for a ban against gay marriage, but still supports a president intent on sodimizing this country.

Terrell the only thing missing from your press conference was Vince McMahon. If you are going to go the WWF route get a new agent. I think you would have your new contract if you had Classy Freddy Blasie in your corner, God rest his soul. The Eagles would be trembling after a couple, "you pencil neck geeks". But then no one listens to me.

This would have never been allowed if Maggie Thatcher was still in charge.

Come on they have suffered enough.

I am going to step bravely into that world of MP3 Players. I do not think I am ready for the 40 GB Ipod. I am looking for something from 512K to 2 GB. I want one that can hold a little music but I could take to the gym.

I don't know why I did not see this sooner. But I think I know what has been the cause of George W. Bush's problems. The writing at MAD Magazine has been awful for years and Cracked has not been funny since his dad was in office. Look its probably the only things he can read, well at least on his own. Well he still need Grampa Cheney to help with the big words.

Look I love football just as much as the next guy. Okay I am lying, I love it and you have heard me rant about that on this Farroe Island of a blog. But I was dumbstruck by the current issue of Sports Illustrated. On the cover was a huge splashy headline about tonight's game. I know it is a big game, but it is a regular season game still. Yes it could decide home field down the road, but a regular season game non the less. So Boski why are you squawking? Well I am smidge perturbed that the White Sox are given a silver dollar sized mention in the upper right corner. WTF? 88 years is not good enough for a cover, come on. I really love the extensive 5 pages you gave to it. I have one theory is that they are "saving" the White Sox stuff anyone who wants to get a subscription. Which is piss poor. As mad as I got at the Sporting News for their low opinion of the Sox come playoff time they at least gave the Sox the cover this week.

Are the White Sox that offensive to everyone.? Was this World Series such a shame that we have to sweep it under the rug. The Sox had a great post-season run and was the team I hear everyone pine about. But know its like the lights went on in the club and people are taken aback by what they see. I think the Cubs, Twins and Indians are all behind this?

Look last year the Red Sox swept the World Series and got the cover they were not punished for finishing off the Cards. It was made into a celebration. The White Sox, nope, thanks for coming. I know for Damn sure if the f'ing Cubs won we would be subjected to 24 hours of Cubapoluza. A whole cable channel dedicated to the cable channel dedicated to celebrating the Cubs. Look I should not be bitter, we won. But come on America take some time and savor what just happened. A team that had been label a "loser" finally won. It crawled out of the mire of its inepititude and won, when no one thought they would. It is a great American story no matter where you put, well execpt Cleveland, Minnesota and the Northside of Chicago.

Sorry to rant, but come on 88 years and we can't get a cover.

Odds and Ends.

Is this the Vikings new ad campaign to sell tickets?

It only getting better for Louisiana, I wonder what two Republican controlled states will be asked for. Knowing this president, nothing.

Excuse me Mr. President I think I found the WMD's, oh wait it's just K-Fed's "record". Still I think you may need to step in here. Someone is going to get hurt.

No, they are saying "Boooooosh" Mr. President. Funny that never happens when you have your "town hall meetings" , or "talking" the troops. They must not get Fox News there.

It is about time to hear what Mr.Cheney has to say for himself, since most of the time he has his hand up GW's ass making him talk.

I think some of this needs to get to the Tobin's.

That all for now, lets get back to a very special episode of Benson.

Last evening the Better Half was continued toward winning the 2005 "Best Wife for a Goofy Husband Award". I thought the champagne after the White Sox win was enough, but she pulls out one more thing. M&M's, yes i said M&M's. Last evening we arrived home from a hard days slog in the free market system to see a package. It was from M&M/Mars company. Inside were packets of specialty colored M&M's. A couple of bags of black, white and silver. Okay, Boski that's nice and all. Wait there is more. She had them put on the M&M's "2005 WS Champs". Now that is an awesome wife. Those will be the tastiest M&M's I will never eat.

It was just so much fun. Oh it seems just days ago I was sweating out some of the best October baseball I will ever see. Hmmmmmmm playoff baseball.

Again I think I have to file this under, "Holy Shit is this really real, but then I should not be surprised since this is one of GW's lackeys" My this file is one that keeps getting larger.

Some of my favorite snippets

"Shortly after 7 a.m. on the morning of the storm, a FEMA public affairs official sent Brown an e-mail complimenting him on the outfit he wore during a national television briefing. In response to the e-mail, whose subject was Re: New Orleans update, Brown said, "I got it at Nordstroms, then added, "Are you proud of me? Can I quit now? Can I go home?"

and

"On Aug. 31, FEMA official Marty Bahamonde sent Brown a desperate e-mail
from New Orleans, calling the situation past critical. Describing patients in
temporary emergency shelters, Bahamonde wrote, Estimates are many will die
within hours.

He also wrote, "We are out of food and running out of water at the dome, plans in works to address the critical need."

Brown's reply to the e-mail was: "Thanks for the update. Anything specific I need to do or tweak?"

WTF! Oh I sorry if thinterrupting is interupting your day. Wow if this was your best effort ("Brownie, you're doing a heckuva job.") I shutter to think what would have happened if you were at your worst.

Wait, I have thought it over Mr. Brown, I will not hurl any more blame on you and the job you did. I will only hurl my fists into your grill. Have a nice day.

50 Cent and Kanye square off. But I do not think that Douglas punked Lincoln about his album.

This harkens back to when the Sugar Hill Gang and Funk Four Plus one got into a heated debate over the impact of trade deficit.

Hey I am all for freedom of speech, even though I think 50 is wrong. Mr. Cent, if Mr. Bush cared then he would have reacted more like (to use a paraphrase from your song "20 Questions") a "fat kid likes cake", to the disaster then maybe everything would not be f'ed up.

Thank you now try the salmon.

Mr. Reid thank you for pissing off those jackasses.

I just love how Frist and those other chuckleheads are yelling this is not fair. Hey, here is an idea read the f'ing rules. Well you know what, go make love to a hot plate. America and the world needs answers and the White House has not been accountable.

I can not stand the whinnying that the Cons make over this and all of the Bush mistakes. That W is always right and the Dems just want to hijack this country and destroy it by lying and cheating. And they have the never to call us the whinners. I also love how they are calling this whole CIA leak is a witch hunt. What has Whitewater and Monica Lewinski? I am sorry last time I checked that leaking a CIA ops identity was a crime. The difference between this and other Bush blunders and Clinton's misteps is that there are people dying. And this little military misadventure could lead to serious geopolitical ramifications that could make things even worse than we could have imagined. But hey I should be a "good American" and take everything on faith from this administration. Look at how well everything is working out.

So it seems that we are being graced with the presence of Charles and Camilla. Everyone is worried that Camilla won't be received well. Maybe who knows. Following Diana is a tough act. Yo, Charles it is your life and your poor life choices are your own. I am glad you found someone who reminds you of your mother.

Camilla has some big shoes to fill. Come to think of it probably not, the blacksmith she goes to most likely has to use a big shoe for her. I know I should not be mean, and she is probably very nice person, but she reminds too much of a horse I lost money on at Santa Anita a couple of years back. Camilla you are no Smarty Jones.

Lets get a birdbrain to fight the bird flu.

Hey George are you going to get Brownie to help since he did such a great job in New Orleans.

Well George this may be your great moment to save on Health Care and Social Security. If most of us get it and pass on, you will save billions!

Sorry Mr. President if I do not show a lot of faith in you actions.

Hold on, Mr. President I think Nero is checking in. He is asking if you could be just a little more responsible.

Sad to say I just didn't feel it this year. Being busy with a job that I think that I now offically hate, and the White Sox winning. I just did not really care about Halloween. And it did not help having a hoops draft that took place at 3 on Saturday and ended around 7:30, to take the wind out of any possibilities on Saturday. The closest I got to being in spirit was watching part of Tree House of Terror. The only reason was it came on right after game 3 1/2 of the WS. But since I had to get to sleep when it got to the break, the TV was silenced. One of the few times I will ever do that.

We just did not want to do anything last night. The BH and I were tired and beat down from work, so we slinked home. Snuck into the house turned off the lights and watched TV by candlelight. Finally watched Sideways, enjoyed it.

I just hope I can get revved up for the holidays. If I can not get up for Boxing Day then I might as well check out.

the Thin Man series. I wish you a safe journey back to the East Coast.
