Well kids it is your Uncle Boski and he has returned. Most of you are probably not happy about the long absence. Maybe it is because it was not long enough. Well a lot has been going on since I last wrote. Well some of it is good and some of it bad.
The Good.
1. A wonderful Christmas with the family. I cleaned up. Wireless PS2 controllers. I am so 9 years old. Some books, some clothes. Got some DVD’s (Kids in the Hall) Chappell Show, Ali G, the first season of Millennium, the Simpson’s Season 4 and 5 (thanks to Costco Gift Cert), We still have a crap load of Best Buy certs. May put them toward a Sirius Radio. Which would be sweet. I am proud that I have not blown it on Police Academy movies and the Best of Bread box set.
2. Football, glorious football. Watched more than the daily recommended allowance, but still could have watched more. Let’s say I could watch a game on the TV while I am playing Madden on the other small TV. Yes, I have no shame.
3. Going to the Rose Bowl. Went with my brother Tim and we had a great time and say a great game. It was a long day getting to and from. It was so worth it. Except for the moment I lost the ability to walk and nearly doing some serious harm to myself. I was lucky to limp away from it.
4. Finally started to watch Deadwood. It kicks some serious ass.
5. Indoor Lacrosse is back and damn it I enjoy it.
6. Been too busy to report on the NFL. Which everyone is happy about.
7. Finally have been able to get back to the gym.
Now for the Bad
1. Watching the Broncos get beat on by the Colts, again. I swear, I thought I was watching the hour of What’s Love Got to Do with It”. Hell Payton Manning might as well come over to my house and hit me in the nuts with a 5-iron, because that was how enjoyable it was. I have not been that angry like that after a game like that in a long time. Arrrrrrrrrrggggggggg! Well at least Payton got punked by the Pats again.
2. The Rain – From December 26th till about two weeks ago, we had rain. Other than New Years Day. It was raining and it sucked a lot of ass. I hate being on freeway with everyone acting like an idiot. Also our garage floods and now we have mildew that looks like cotton growing. Great now all the useless crap that I need to throw out is probably wet. Great, now I will not have an excuse to keep all my worthless crap.
3. Bush Term Two Electric Bugaloo – It will be twice as bad folks. Sit back and enjoy the barbarians sack Rome. I hope to be adopted by a nice Visigoth tribe.
4. My job- well my lack of one. Two weeks ago everything was going as well as could be expected. I was very busy with work. Still trying to do the best I could without screwing thing up. Trying to get everything together for the two group of new employees coming in. There had been talk that since our company’s was purchased over a year ago that would there be layoffs. There had not been any until last week and it ended up being me. I should have realized this when I found out that I should have been fired for a mistake a couple weeks earlier, but I was saved since it was my supervisors last day and they were not going to fire someone. So bullet dodged. The mistake I made was dumb and I would have understood being let go, but thought Wow, you dodged this. This means you have to make some changes in my life and go and seek some professional help. I have always been unorganized and have had trouble focusing so I finally got off my ass and went to seek some help. Which was one of the better decisions I have made. I thought it was going to do me a lot of good, until that fateful Thursday. We had our new supervisor come into town to meet with HR/Recruiting. We had been all waiting to speak to her and see what was going to happen to us. As we were waiting for her to arrive. She made it after weather difficulties. The recruiters and myself met with her as she came in and when she told us that she wanted to meet with recruiting and not with me. I should have known that I was dead in the water. But no, I ignored the warning signs. Even after talking to someone in our MA office who sounded scared. I should have realized, but again I was not seeing it. So there I was preparing to do our benefits presentation for our new group in our office in AV. I was just waiting for the Personal Enrollment forms. Well in my effort to improve myself I made it a point to call someone back after they called me. In my follow up, I found out we had a major problem arise. Which was not my fault, for once. They sent the forms to our San Diego office. So I go tell the recruiter who were two great supervisors to work for, that we have this along with the head of HR. And I volunteer to drive down and get them and try to get back for the 1:00 PM presentation. So I do and break nearly every single traffic law. You would have thought I was Popeye Doyle. In fact I think I nearly hit a baby carriage while in SD.I do that race all that way miss out on a lunch I was promised. To find out that the presentation has been moved to 2:00PM. I get back eat something since I had not had anything all day. Just before I am about to go in and do the presentation the head of HR tells me that my position can not be justified and that I will be let go Friday. Please let me say that they were very fair in giving severance and paying it out through February, so I can hold Insurance through February. I am not angry at the head of HR for doing this; she was very nice about it. I also understand that this was a business decision and these things happen, but what really pisses me off is that if I was going to be let go, why allow me to leave and risk my life when I could have spent that time trying to get things in order. What is even better is after I was told you are being laid off. I still had to go out and do the Benefits Presentation. Second why was I not even offered the option to take a position in my old department when their three temps in those spots one of them was filling in for a person who is on disability and there is a good chance they are not coming back. I do not know if I would have taken it, but I would have liked that option. I had been there when they opened up this office and I did a lot shit above and beyond the call of duty. I did not expect a gold watch or anything, but I think this should have been handled better. Maybe it is just me being bitter. I did not make a lot of money doing this, but I like the company, I liked the people and I had freedom. I was able to do a lot of research on football, download a lot of music. Use a ton of office supplies for non work items. See football research. It was a great job because I could walk in looking like a taking a History 301 class. Addias sweats, T-shirt, baseball hat. I can go for that. Also as being given only really one day to pack up and try to get things in order. I should have had one week, so I could have handed everything off in a manner that I would have felt better with. Wait I almost forgot that because of this I had three checks go NSF. Thanks to having my check be FED-Exed to me instead of being Direct Deposited. Well I have bitched enough. I am back on the market and thanks to my limited HR work I have seen more action on the line. So hopefully I will be working soon. Thanks for listening.
I really need to do more with this blog. How can I show everyone how bad I am at it if I do not give them more content. I am so jealous of all the other wonderful blogs out their. One they are funnier than hell and written in complete sentences.
Well today was not as successful as I wanted to be. Got something done, not enough. Next week will suck. Working before Christmas is like killing on Christmas. Its just not right.
I love Southern California come December. After freezing with temps in the 40's. I will stop and let those in areas of snow and cold finish breaking something. We have about a week of temps in 70's. Clear skies and Santa Ana's. I will tell you it is nice feeling when you get up at 5:00 AM when you walk outside you fell a warm breeze. The only draw back is you may kill yourself with the static coming off your car when you get into it. (Stupid cloth seats) But I love this time of the year. From Thanksgiving until Jan 1. Its dry, not too cold and pleasant. I really need to get off my ass and go out to the desert this time of year and just shoot a lot of pictures. Well I know that made little sense, but I felt like sharing.
My brother who is closest in age to me called and wished my a happy birthday Monday. But he made me an offer that I need to think about. He wants to go to Rose Bowl. I going to take him up on it. I love watching the Rose Bowl it is the one game I will watch now matter who's playing. Even USC. I have been to a couple UCLA/SC games and a few UCLA games and the Rose Bowl is a nice stadium but it need to be updated and if you go for a big game, tailgate you will be there forever. There is no way the NFL will ever go there not unless they rip a lot of shit out and build parking. I can tell you the golfer will not give up that golf course without a fight.
Kobe - when you in a hole Kobe stop digging. Words to live by.
I would like to thank Mr. Bush the uniter we now have a country where we have stories like these. Great, I feel so much better now. Thanks, thanks a lot. I swear it stories like these that make me think about getting my Irish citizenship.
White Sox - This may be a first, but I care more about the Manager and the coaches than the players. Except another season around .500.
NFL - So far I like all three road team to win on Saturday, but Pitt will not cover the 10. Even as bad a the Might be Giants are the Steelers are not going to win by 10. Which means they are going to go 42 - 14 on them. But Pitt, Wash and Car are the picks. The late game will be a good one. I do not know how Team Ace bandage does it, but Fox can coach and they have a great personal department.
Random NFL players from my youth part I - Stump Mitchell (Stumpy), Reggie Doss, Hasan Jones, Tunch Ilkin (Turkey's greatest NFLer), Lynn Dickey (few have taken more punishment).
If any of you out there in blog land have any you want mentioned, just let Uncle Boski know.
Please sit back and enjoy Air Supply.
I want to send out birthday well wishes to two of my friends. Stoney(12/15) and Jonesy (12/14). Your veal is on the way.
Well week 13 and 14 have passed and like a dumb bastard I have not updated you. If anyone cares or even believes these picks. But this intrepid little bastard is going to plug on and give you what you don't need. Longwinded, poorly constructed passages. Along with American Studies I also majored in Self deprecation. Well actually, I was not very good at that. So underwhelming that they would only give me a minor.
So a big shout out to my Peeps in Baker Gateway to Death Valley and 784th Largest Media Market in California. Future home of the Montreal/D.C. Expos. Here is Week 13 and 14. Listed is my prediction and if I covered.

So if my math is correct, which it debatable here is our 14 week total:
Straight up I am 128 - 64 for (66.6%) So Evil.
But I am dumb I am going to have to redo what my results are for the point spread, because I can not keep track. At the end of this year I will go back and give you the public the truth. So you can see that I end up at around 48%.
I am just not a smart man.
This morning as I was at gym had to witness something that made me contemplate grabbing the rifle and looking for a convient bell tower. It is a nice gym with TV's everywhere. So you can run and see the highlights of your team not covering the spread. There TV's even in the Locker Room which is nice, except when I have to hear the crap that is FOX News. I cringe when the TV is not on either ESPN or CNN. I have noticed ever since the Tech Stock Meltdown they do not have Bloomberg and CNBC on any more. Just an observation. Most times I can zone it out between whitewashing Bush's policy and calls for the destruction of the U.N. But today, I had to witness a god damn short film about the First Family's Dog Buster and that they be adding another little Scotty to the family Mrs. Beazley. They spelt that with a Z! Seriously! But I would have been fine with Laura Bush playing with the dog and the playful motage of Buster running around with special effects thrown in. (Hey, who is paying for this little movie anyway. Great use of tax dollars.) But seeing that our fearless leader and members of the White House Staff involved. Hey, do we have time for this. Hey George ask the damn dog where Osama is. He may have a clue. Don't you have anything better to do. Didn't you tell me that this job was 'hard work'. Well then work damn it. I am not bringing home the crapitude this tour de force as well as I should. But I was so angry that I was subjected to that, that I wanted to go out and kick a dog. Thanks George. But sitting here I am getting angrier since that this a lot of this country will eat it up and think wow this great. I was just surprised they did not some how twist it to show that Clinton's dog was some how involved with Whitewater and Monica. Enough of this or I will punch a co-worker for no good reason.
Hello good citizens of Earth. Well I am back to bore you with more of the trivialness (is that a word?) of my life. Well it has been a good week. Since last Sunday I have been enjoying my birthday. Which is actually today, but have done my celebrating last weekend and this week. Well I did not do too much, but last Sunday hung with the family for dinner and grief counseling for the Broncos lost. Got a pretty good haul on gifts:
Madden 2005 the Special 15th anniversary Edition - I know it is sad for a grown man to play video games, it was this or heroin. But I am a Madden junkie, I have almost every year of Madden since 93. Hell I even had the original on the PC. God, have I really wasted that much of my life.
Star Wars Trilogy on DVD - I need to have it even though it is not the original, but other than Gredo shooting first, I liked most of the additions Lucas made. But as a side note. I just had a friend burn me the originals on DVD for me. Sweet.
Best Buy Gift Cert - $50 - Not too shabby, do not know what I want to do with it. Get some DVD's or some music. The wife and I may put it toward Sirrus.
The Simpson Season 4 - This may be the best season of the Simpson.
and to close it out, $50 of Del Taco Gift certificates. It is a running joke. It goes back to my day when eating at AM/PM was acceptable. Then I moved on, for a time I was a major contributor to Del Taco. Del Taco is Southern California's alterative to Taco Bell. It serves great Spanglish Food. To say it is Mexican food would be like say the woman who draws the cartoon "Cathy" is in the same league with Rembrandt. It is not the greatest stuff in the world, but it is good enough for me. I still love the Beef and Egg Burrito which is the bomb, the chicken soft taco's and the Coke they serve. I mentioned previously for some reason the Coke their is so much better then any where else. I do not know why, again it may be the heroin they put in it. I am just saying. Next year I am going to ask the family to move up to Wahoo's their is some serious grub.
Enough of that, Wednesday my new department took me to lunch and hooked a brother up. I got a gift cert for the Cheesecake Factory not too bad. But the other item they got me floored me. Business cards. I know it sounds stupid, but I have wanted a business card for so long. It was the last item on Boski's Checklist for becoming an adult:
Get Married
Own a Car
Have a job that does not require a uniform
Become a home owner
Vote
and having a business card.
(Note: I had to remove being called sir out of respect instead of "sir, we are going to ask you to leave". There is no way that is ever going to happen.
Friday - took off from work and went to Disneyland for the day. I love going there during the Holiday's it's just so much nicer. Even after doing my time at the park, I still love going in after Thanksgiving. Went with the wife and a friend of ours who still works for the park. Had a great time. Even got to see the Hairiest Man in the World. I will have to post the picture.
This weekend was quite other than suffering through the Broncos win over Miami. I am glad I did not get to see any of the game because I would have broken something. But they won and may have postponed the inevitable. But a win is a win.
Today, a quiet day at the office. I really did not get a lot done today, but enough. Well I have bored you with my crap, until tomorrow please remember: "It does not matter if the horse is blind, just load the wagon"
I am sorry everyone for not providing with my pearls of wisdom for nearly two weeks. I have been trying to get over two weeks of emotional 5-iron to the nuts thanks to the play of the Broncos. First was the Raiders making the Broncos eat the Yellow Snow on Sunday night, a game they had no business losing. I think Shanahan should have taken the safety in the fourth. The lead would have been 9 points (still two scores) and maybe just maybe Knorr would get off a decent punt. That was harsh. Then going to SD and having to sit through that one. I would have felt better if they got blown out, but they flirted with being blown out and came back to make it a game and had three chances in the last 6 minutes. Plummer's 4 Int at the goaline, the Fumble that bounced out of Haywood's hands and the last drive. So now I am going to watch the slow death. I hope I am wrong and that the power of my negative thinking will propel them to a division title as the Chargers eat a shitload of bad soup. So we could have a winning record and be out of the playoffs. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!
There I feel a little better. As for my picks in week 12
I went 12 - 4 straight up not too bad, but 8 - 8 against the line. So let us see how we did. Well it was a successful 11 - 5 with 9 - 7 vs. the spread. So other than having my soul ripped out for two weeks I made some good picks. But right now there are a lot of games that are easy to pick, so I have not stumbled on anything revolutionary. So after 13 weeks the old board shows:
107 - 55 straight up (66%) Not too bad.
77 - 81 - 3 (I obviously can not add because my previous totals do not add up, when the year is over their will be an audit and heads will roll!) (47.5%) Not good.
The scary thing is I want to do this all the time. I would love to do nothing but study the NFL and make some kind of career out of this. But I know America is not in need of some jackass, who has very little command of spelling, grammar and syntax, telling them about something they can get any in a thousand different places. Well we will see, I might put on my helmet and tilt at some windmills. But if I can figure a way to get paid to watch football, that would be so sweet. So if I need to add it to the list of life long goals:
1. Get paid to ramble about football
2. Direct the Sequel to buckaroo Bonzi - buckaroo Bonzi vs. the World Crime league
3. Be a contestant on the Gong Show.
4. Slap the guy who played the kid on Voyagers. I am still pissed at jerk. Boo Hoo, I am stuck in the court of Gangis Khan. Waaaaaa, what am I and this dumb male model (who was too dumb to realize that you should not point a prop gun at your head) going to do? Stop your crying you little bitch.
5. Bring Peace to Liechtenstein and Andorra. It is time to stop the hurting and start the healing.
I think I can accomplish all of those.
Well I have gotten the sappy part done now to give thanks to some other people and items.
My PS2- Where would I be without you? Maybe I would better read and not have the attention span of cabbage. Who am I kidding, better read. PS2 please forgive me for ever thinking such horrible thoughts.
TIVO - All Hail TIVO! If any of you speak ill of TIVO I will strike you down!
The Simpson's - 43% of what I utter is either a Simpson quote or Simpson reference.
The NFL Network, Adult Swim, ESPN, ESPN Classic - Just add cartoon music and the hampster on a wheel and you have what goes on in my head every single moment.
BBC America - For programming that does not suck.
Family Guy - Do you want a soda?
The NFL and football and it football accessories - I know I am very close to having a restraining order put on me for stalking, but it is the best of the sports going right now. And in this space you have seen that I have shown the depths of my sickness with my talk of the NFLE, arena and gulp CFL. Hey BC won the Grey Cup!
Whaoo's - Screw that ambrosia BS they ate Maui Bowls and Chicken Soft Tacos on Mt. Olympus because it is the food of the gods. Damn the Whaoo's rocks so rough!
CSUF American Studies Department - thanks for making my college experience enjoyable. I know it does not reflect too well that I passed, but I loved every class I took.
Sports - If there is a score I will watch it. Along with football I do love Baseball, Hoops, Hockey, English Premier league, Aussie Rules Football....Etc.
Las Vegas - The greatest city in the free World that is was founded in the 1900's. I will get back to the Vegas, wonderful Vegas.
Baker, California - thank you for having the world's largest thermomoter and being the greatest city that is the Gateway to Death Valley and the home of the Bun Boy!
My job - one that I have one and that they actually want me to come in each day. It is nice being allowed to have a desk in the office as posed to having your desk outside or in the bathroom.
Del Taco Cherry Coke and Regular Coke - I do not know what they do but they have the best Coke and Cherry Coke. I do not know what they do but it makes "me crave it every fortnight". Maybe it is opium they put in, I just do not know.
Trivia and useless info - If trivia did not exist I would not exist. It is my lifeforce.
TV - Do I need to say anymore.
Music - thank to all the stupid crap that I listen to and like that keeps me going through the day.
So thanks to all the albums and songs that have been apart of my life(U2, Midnight Oil, Filter, The Pixies, Beastie Boys, Radiohead and etc). One day I will sit down and go through the songs and albums that I love, so everyone can mock and ridicule me.
California - I am still happy to live in this crazy state. The weather and location more than make up for our crazy governor and housing prices. I will love it here. I know I am taking a very provincial outlook, but I do not care.
Hummel Figurines - They are so cute and adorable, especially when they are shot with a beebe gun or are being smashed to bejesus and back with a blunt object.

So there we have it. That is a lot to be thankful for, so I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving. Before I go I would also like to give a shout out to my man who is rocking Upstate New York, Eric. Thank you sir, for reading my dumb blog and my dumb-ass comments. It's good that you are trying to work with the mentally challenged. That is it and I am out of here!
Well and another post that begins with me saying well. I have got to stop doing that. So it is time for Thanksgiving a time we give thanks that Boxing day is just tad over a month away. Big ups for Boxing Day! I sit here and think what I need to be thankful for. I do have quite a bit I need to be thankful for. Because how the hell did I get this far.
My wife - I think she has achieved the three miracles for Sainthood -(1.Getting me to walk upright 2. Put up with all of my useless info and bad jokes 3. Making me realize that you can not wear shots to every event, no matter the weather.) I love you sweetie, you have put up with more jokes about the Gilded Age than is legally allowed.
My Brother and Sisters - I have been so blessed to have a great family. So a thank you to my brothers and sisters, who have helped me so much over the years. I want to say thanks for being 4 more parents to me and keeping me in line. Also thanks for being great people. Thank you for putting up with the least talented of the bunch (me).
My parents - To my parents, thank you, thank you, thank you. First up is my Mom who is just so incredible. The events of last week reinforce that she is an incredible woman and I need to cherish any time I have had and will ever have with her. She is a wonderful person, who raised 4 great kids and the one who is just not right in the head (but you love me anyway). To my Dad, it has been 11 years since he passed and I still miss him. I could spend hours typing my thoughts about him, but I will save some of that on future posts. But I can sum him up as a great father, friend and teacher. To all of my family I love you guys.
My friends - Thanks to all of you for hanging out with this dork for all these years. Thanks for all the good times going from Primary School, College, Disney and other stops on the Boski work carnival. and thanks to everyone who I forgot to mention.
From last Tuesday till now have been pretty busy, so good and some bad. We will start with the bad. Last Tuesday I had phone call from my wife telling me my Mom was in the hospital. After the initial panic we found that she was doing alright and in the ICU. She had been in since Monday night but could not talk until late afternoon Tuesday since she was vented. She had an asthma attack that really came down hard on her. She had this before, but this one came on very suddenly and like a ton of brick. So while this is happening my Mom drives herself to the ER. At which point she got to the door and passed out. The family admonished her for not calling an ambulance. That is my Mom. She did not want to have a big commotion. But she got there. After the wife and I secured the Boski Family homestead. Thank god she lives in a wonderful neighborhood, since the house was unlocked for nearly a day. The short version of the story is that my Mom had a serious attack that may have caused her heart some stress. So they had to run some test to make sure she did not suffer any heart damage. The test showed on some calcification which can be managed by diet and meds. So the Boski family breathed a sigh of relief. So my Mom will be taking it easy. Friday, after finding out the test results and getting the good news, the wife and I watch a hell break loose in Detroit. I was flipping around and came back just at the moment the cup hit Ron and the shit hit the fan. I am ashamed to say this, but I did enjoy watching what happened. I do not enjoy saying that and I did not want to see any one get hurt, but I could not help but watch the fight in Supruder Filmesque manner. The wife and I were reviewing tape and calculiating who did what and how. It kept us up for a while on Friday. Again kids I do not condone what happened and feel that everyone was wrong. So if you were giggling like school children then shame, shame on you. Saturday as we watched the aftermath of the Punchout at the Palace I went up to LA to see a high school friend on mine who I had not seen since my wedding. In fact, got to see two other guys I went to HS with who I had not seen in almost a decade. The wife and I had a great time having dinner and hanging out. Sunday, well Sunday I did something totally different. I did not watch football, well until late afternoon. The wife and I went up to Pasadena to see a friend of my wife's. I know I could have taken the option to stay at home and watch football, but I would have felt bad. So I went and had a good time, even though if I was going to be out Sunday, I should have been in Vegas. A week I watch about 25 minutes of football. I went 15 - 1. Yes you read that right 15 -1 and 11 - 6 against the spread. I was on fire. I know you do not believe me and I can understand that. I have a tough enough time believing myself most of the time. But this was a great week. The only game that I missed was Ten @ Jac. I thought that Jville was going to win, but they did not. Thanks guys for ruining my chance at immortality. But to show that I am not BSing here is what I had.
I took:
Minn and the points - A real gut check win for the Vikes. Win but did not cover.
Den and the points - Jim Haslett, I hope you are taking as much office supplies you can grab before you are canned. Win and Cover.
Bal and the points - Win and the Cover. I would have been safe with the Ravens D vs. the Cowboys.
Buf and the points - Take the Sheep outside and Martz gets even dumber. Win and Covered.
Car and the points - The Cards showing why they are the Maroon stain of the Southwest. Win and Covered.
Pit and the points - Big Ben wins again, but fashion lost thanks to Cinny's uni's. Game was as ugly as the uni's. Win but did not cover.
Ind to win, but Bears to cover - I seriously thought this would have been something close to a game, but the Colts beat the Bears stupid. I should count this a loss considering I thought the Bears would be within 7.5. Win, but no where close to covering.
N.Y.J. and the points - Wow that one looked exciting. J-E-T-S, C-O-V-E-R, COVER, COVER.
T.B. and the points - Griese, played the game with a severe bloody nose, since he is still playing so over his head. Win and covered.
Jac and the points - So close, but yet so far. I do not know if it was the Jags playing not to lose or was it the Titians last stand. Loss - No Cover - No Perfection.
S.D. and the points - The Raiders tried to win this one and could have taken the lead if Curry catches Collins pass. Win and covered.
Sea and the points - A.J. Feeley you are no David Woodley. Team Potted Meat sweats out a close one, as they take the lead in the Division no one wants to win. Win and covered.
Atl and the points - I am surprised the Giants kept it this close and had a chance to tie. Manning played better than expected, but lets wait and see if he will be a good QB. It will not be this year. That line will get him killed. Win and Covered.
Phi and the points - The Eagles put the beat down on the Skins. Who would have thought Skins fans would begin to pine for the Steve Spurrier days.
G.B. and the points - I thought this one would be a shootout, but it did not happen. The Pack are making noise and will be a team to worry about in the playoffs. Well at least in the NFC. Win but did not cover.
N.E. and the points - I am getting tied of the Pats, but maybe because I am envious. When you look at them you are not overwhelmed, but they win every week. Lets just say we need to have the New England region brought down a couple of notches. Win and covered.
So we have a record of 15 -1 straight up and 10 - 6 against the spread. I think that is going to make the numbers look a little better.
After 10 weeks of picks:
84 - 46 (64%)
57 - 62 - 3 (43.8%)
Due to a programming snafu and the medication, Mr. Boski forgot to publish this little gem.
Well, I was wrong again. The Eagles did win and covered. So this week I went 9 - 5 not too shabby for an idiot. But I had no clue about picking the spread in these games. I was a 5 - 9. So after nine weeks of picking we are looking at:
Straight up 69 - 45 (60.5%)
Against the Spread 47 - 56 - 3 (41.2)
So what do we have to say at this point about the season:
The AFC is good.
The NFC sucks.
That there will be an amazing race to see which coach will be the next to coach his way out of a job. It will be tough to top Wandstadt, but he was doomed from the get go. Right now we have four lively candidate for late season meltdown. We could see all three fired or all three losing their jobs. I am leaning toward at least one being fired....
Well kids I then went on and wrote a Pulitzer Prize winning paragraph about Jim Haslett, Mike Martz, Dennis Erickson and Butch Davis. It was great, you would have laughed cried and fell in love all over again. I was making references from a wide range of subjects: Presidents of the gilded Age, Faust (both the author and the coach) Yams, Outer Mongolia, Henry Cabot Lodge and Rerun from What's Happening. It was such an amazing article that I was able to cure cancer along with predicting who was going to lose there job. But I ran into one small problem, me. I got distracted and forgot to finish. Oh well the world will never know. Or that it was saved from a lot of crap.
Yes, even here in this arid land hockey is missed. Hockey goes between 3 and 4 th on sports I love. Depending on Lakers and my roto team NBA hoops can be tough to watch. But do enjoy watching it and I miss watching it. Well I do not miss the Ducks, they can go fornication with themselves. Sorry I still a bitter Disney Employee and I can not stand them and goat loving ways. I am a Kings fan. Yes, I can count myself in with the other 78. Thanks to my brother Tim I have been a fan. Going back to the days when they wore retina burning gold Jerseys. When it was the Fabulous Forum, the Triple crown line and NHL teams playing 6 - 5 games was not an aberration. The only good thing about the strike has been they have been playing old Kings game, which are great since they show one they win.
Well it was a good weekend. Friday, the wife and I got an early Christmas present from her Dad. Who is providing us the funds for a nice little digital camera. We borrowed his wife's camera when we where in Northern Ireland. So we searched and searched and found the one we wanted with some cool extras at a good price. So Friday night was about getting the camera and memory cards. We got a treat by running into my brother and his wife, while getting our new toy. It was good to see them. Well we finished our appointed rounds and retreated to the ranch. As the wife tinkered with the camera I watched the second half of a complete and utter beat down. Yes I watched Fresno State continue to piss on Hawaii. Even with the score 49 - 0 I watched Fresno put 70 on the board, in the second half. It was like watching a car crash, but with midget clowns. There was no way I was going to look away. Saturday, we did not do too much other than get ready to go to a friend birthday party. He is great guy I worked with back in my salad days as a ride operator at Disney. Yep, they gave me a job. Go figure. I may have done a lot of goofing off (no pun intended), but no one died on my watch. Team Boski got to see some people I had not seen in a long time. It was great just hanging out and shooting the breeze. Sunday, was football. Watching it and playing it on my PS2. I do need help. Both with my Madden addiction and my football picks. So far I am 8 - 5 going into tonight. Potted Meat, the Titans, chiefs, Giants, Redskins and the Niners thanks for sucking ass. It is greatly appreciated. Got the Eagles beating on the Pokes big. But that will not happen. Got to go!
Big Baby Jesus we hardly knew ye. Why did they have to take Osirus from us God. Hell, Rick James got to live into his 50's. The man had so much blow go through his nose that Columbia asked him if he could tone it down. But you can't help out old Dirt McGirt. Even if you do not like rap you had to loved that lovable little scamp. You will be missed Dirt Dog, you will be missed. I hope we all never forget the words of ODB at the Grammy's a couple years back. "Wu-Tang is for the Children".
Yes, I am back with more of my sad ass blog. I swear I will work on add more to this. It will probably crap that is useful to no more, but hey I will look cool. Wait who I am I kidding. Well since we last spoke I have had another chance to show my skills and again I have shown that I have none. Week 9 was above .500 but there were some games that I was wrong, so very wrong.
The Winners:
Was - Yes they won, but this team's offense is shakier than Muhammad Ali on the Materhorn. This team can not throw the ball. Mark Brunell is very close to joining Ron Dayne on team Haliburton, for do so little for so much.
S.D. - The best team that can not sell out its games. They continue to amaze as they beat a Saint team that is clueless. Now with Wandstadt gone, Jim Hasslet should be scared, very scared.
Ari - Yes, I broke my own code. But the siren call of the Cardinals was too strong to ignore. I did have one hell of a laugh watching the Fins hit absolute bottom.
Sea - Team Potted Meat beat a feisty Niner team. TPM is back on the right track as they go into their showdown. What's that, oh the name. The uniforms, well it all started a couple years back when someone made the comment that the uniforms looked like rotted meat. After viewing them, all I could think was about Upton Sinclair's the Jungle, the Spanish/American War and a Space Ghost episode. I know you thinking, "Matt what the hell are you talking about?". Well the color reminds me of the wonderful description of what was done to meat at the turn of the century. In fact, the meat the US Army provided the troops killed more soldiers than the Spanish. I think Ye Old Haliburton was the supplier. So henceforth they are forever Team Potted Meat.
Buf - This one I was proud of. You could see this one coming. Teams are playing like crap after Monday Night's. And the Bills are playing a lot better. So McGahee is the real deal. This team will make people's lives miserable down the strech, but may come up a little short in the playoff run. If they were in the NFC they would be in line to meet the Eagles in the NFC Championship game.
Bal - When Don Correyl thinks about hell does he invasion the Baltimore Ravens. Holy Bela Abzug is this team winning ugly. They are terrible to watch, terrifying to play against and scary to bet on. You never know when this team's D will finally collapse in exhaustion from carrying this team.
Den (but took the points on Hou) - I was so scared about this game. Considering how bad the Broncos looked the last two weeks. It games like this that make you feel conflicted. They looked so good, but why are we only 6-3 and tied for the division. Arrrrgggg!
Ind (but took the points on Min) - Bill Simmons of ESPN is dead on by comparing the Colts to the Nuggets of the 80's. Fun to watch, but they will not win the big one.
The Losers
Me - That's a given.
Dal - I do not know what was worse, the Cowboys performance or the Bengals uni's. Both very very sick.
N.Y.G. - What in the Ray Handley happened here?
Phi - The Steelers are for real, but I had to go with the Eagles till they were beat and now we see that they can be beaten and beated badly.
K.C. - You got punked by Brian Griese, just soak that in KC.
Car - 1 - 7, I think that sums it up.
St.L - They got pounded by Team McGuyver at home. Good job Martz, team Skitzo did it again. A chance to make a statement. Instead you make a mess on the carpet.
So, a 8 - 6 week, but I was 6 - 8 vs. the spread. So after 9 weeks:
60 - 40 (60%) straight up. As we saw last week I can not do math and had myself at 54%. I should not worry, I will get there soon enough.
Upon Further Review Boski is a dumb ass. I was way off on my record against the line as well.
42 - 47 - 3 (42%)
God I am a total idiot.
Well after the what happen this week I do not feel too bad about last week in the NFL. Another 7-7 week. Some of it was painful to watch. Wait, I think the Falcons just ran back another Plummer Int. Thanks to the Colts, Jags, Broncos, and the Vikes for pissing in the punch. Great job guys, you guys may want to cut back on drinking so much cough syrup before games.
Losses
Jac - Should have known they would be down after last weeks win.
Ind - When getting a stop on a 3rd down is big thing, you are screwed.
Min - Did we go through this last year?
Det - Should have not bought into the these guys can't be beat on the road crap.
Den - So that's Mike Vick.
NE - Had to happen sooner or later.
SF - Craptastic thy name is the Niners.
Wins
Ten - I just knew that the Bengals would be down after Monday night.
Buf - This was just too easy.
G.B. - Joe Gibbs you are no Richie Pettiebone.
Phi - I actually giggled like a little school girl when T.O. did his Ray Lewis dance. Take that Ray!
Sea - Wow , my ears are still ringing from the crash the Panthers have taken this year.
S.D. - I would have enjoyed this Raiders beating, if Denver had won.
N.Y.J - LaMont Jordan made the Fins look like the big dummies in the 2nd half.
So we ended at 7-7 this week with a stunning 6-8 vs the line.
So after 8 weeks:
52-34 straight up (54%)
44-41-3 vs. the line. (50%)
Thank God there is not a house payment riding on this.
Well things did not turn out the way I had hoped. We get four more years of Bush. Great, that is just fucking great. I would rant about this and I may in the following days, but I do not think I can add anything insightful. Me and wife are sad about this and we are concerned about the future of this country, because it is not only the next four years. This may become the Chernoybl presidency. But as sad as this is I am not going to pick up and flee to Easter Island. Even though it would be cool to hand out with Mowi (I am not sure of the spelling).
But before I go I would wish a happy Go Fuck Yourself to the following:
George W. Bush - The only plus will be is at the end of this second term Ulysses S. Grant will not be the worst two term president. Finally my boy U.S. Grant gets a break.
Dick Cheney - There will be a special place in hell for you my pretty. We all know that you are the one who runs the show.
Karl Rove - May your nuts be crushed by midgets with toffee hammers., but then you may be into that.
John Ashcroft - Hey John, the Puritans called and they asked if you could tone it down.
Colin Powell - I used to have a lot a faith in you, but that is gone. Also love the work you son is doing with the FCC. Real good.
The NeoCons and Religious Right - Thanks for highjacking the issues from what is affecting everyone and making them into "values". Great ,I know Jesus will love me when I have lost my home, seen my job outsourced. I will be forced to work for a feudal lord (Walmart), as we revert back to the middle ages. Hey, I will be able to sleep peacefully, under a freeway. Safe knowing that gays can't marry (but by that time they will have been sent to "camp", no more rampant On-Demand Abortions that everyone is into, and safe from scary things like knowledge and free will. Good times.
To the Democrats - thanks for letting these assholes get away from the issues and win. Arrrrgggg.
I must stop I am not even coming close to making sense.
The views expressed by Mr. Boski are his and his alone. He does not wish bodily harm on anyone listed above. Mr. Boski is a good citizen and believes everything is doubleplus good . Mr. Boski does love Mr. Ashcrofts singing. So please do not remove us from this crap ass blog.
Thank you.
USA, USA, USA!
Go vote on the 2nd. Hopefully we will wake up on Nov. 3rd and there will be a change. I hope there are enough people (in the right states) to help bring about that change. My heart is holding out hope that Kerry does win, but I have prepared myself for Bush winning. I have so much to say about this, but I do want to get home and start my weekend.
I have had to hear all week that the block that George Foster (the Offensive Tackle not former Reds, Mets and White Sox Outfielder and professional Ugly Man) was illegal and bush league. I hate to see a player go down. And I do not want to be a Bronco apologist, but that is what he is taught to do. What he did is in the rules. Within 1 ahead and behind the line of scrimmage players are allowed to cut block. Do they need to change the rules? I think they should look into it. If everyone is against it then change the rule them take it out. Maybe since players are bigger and faster and the physics make it a lot easier to see these injuries, then rules need to reflect that. That is my stupid two cents if it makes any sense.
The Red Sox have pulled it off and the end of the world has not happened. Amazing. But I am still pissed they won. I liked having another team to kick around. But thank god it was not the Cubs. I hate those guys. As a White Sox fan it tough having one of things that keeps me going taken away. I could always count on when the Sox would drop out of the running that I would always know that the Red Sox and Cubs would not win a World Series either. Now the Red Sox are gone and now will become just like the Yanks and keep reminding you of their greatness. Damn it I would like to the White Sox just get off the fucking mat and win and do it before the Cubs. Because if the Cubs win before the White Sox then it is time to pack it up and call it quits. What will be the point. I just would not be able to handle it. But even if the Sox won would Chicago even care. I hate those ponsey Cubs and their dumbass fans. I know I am Joe Suburb from California, but I hate those uppity rich kids. I have ranted enough on this issue, till the spring.
Week 6 was actually a pretty good week for me picking football. I went 10 - 4 straight up and 9-5 versus the spread. So I was feeling pretty good until my mouth and drugs conspired to bring me and my football empire down. That is the only thing that could explain what 7-7 straight up and 6 - 8 versa the line. Here were the picks:
Atl 24 K.C. 21 - Wrong, I think Ed Podilak and Mike Garrett have scored since I started this sentence.
Min 37 Ten 28 Billy Volek you are no Cody Carlson.
Bal 19 Buf 6 Pretty close on this on. Every Bledsoe INT, I could hear a little boys heart being stomped on.
S.D. 28 Car 17 - The game was more defensive than I thought it would be. Marty's son Kirk should be worried. I think Marty offered him up to Satan for a winning season.
Phi 30 Cle 20 - The Eagles did not cover, but pulled it out. You are starting to see chinks in the armor.
Ind 28 Jac 20 - Wrong, it looks like the Jags are going to stick around. Now they are finding some O. So they do not have to ugly things up each week.
St. L 27 Mia 17 - You got to be shitting me. Martz, I wish to hit you with a shovel till you are bloody pasty mess.
T.B. 20 Chi 9 - Attention Bucs fans, Brain Griese will let you down soon enough. Prepare now so you can cushion the fall. The Bears might want to find which bus station Jeff George is living at. he can not be as bad as Dr. Quinn medicine QB and the Krenzelnator. Finally someone to take the taste of Peter Tom Willis out of Bears fans mouths.
N.Y.G. 28 Det 17 - Well the road warriors again bit me in the ass. I am going to start calling Ron Dayne Halliburton. How does he even cash those checks.
N.E. 23 N.Y.J 20 - The streak is still going on strong like Steve Grogan's neck roll. The Jets gave battle, but realized they are the Jets and came up short. Which is too bad. I like Edwards. I do not like some of his game management skills, but he is good coach.
G.B. 31 Dal 20 - Pre game Nachos dulled Cowboys edge. What will team scitzo (the Pack) do from here. I think the ways things are in the NFC the Pack will get a wild card spot at 7-9. The Packers will not win the division but will get a Wild Card spot. They are getting people back, but they will be one and done in Jan.
Oak 30 - N.O. 24 - Things are going bad in Oakland. The game was not sold out since most of the fans were so disappointed that they actually adhering to the conditions of their probation's. Good times.
Now for the best part.
Den 30 - Cin 17 - Wow they have not constructed a shoe big enough to step in that piece of crap.
So if we take those two weeks and put total them up we get:
45 - 27 Straight up (62.5%)
36 - 33 - 3 vs. the spread (50%)
Well everyone, your slack ass hero is back. Well I have been very busy and in pain over the past two weeks. Let review. Two weeks ago I was a wash in HR hysteria and dental despair. Let me tell you. Taking a meeting when you feel like a Long Shoreman is stepping on mouth is a pleasant experience. I thought it was finally time to do what my wife has asked me to do for the last few weeks and go see the dentist so we could use our flexible spending account before we lose out for 04. Well, I do not think there will be a problem now. I think that money will be used us before the end of this sentence. This is another reason why I am not having children. I could not stand to hand down my dental genes to anyone. Lets saw there are a couple of British People giving me crap. I have not do the best job with my teeth and I will be the first to admit it. I bush too hard, and should really brush at work. Floss, to paraphrase Lewis Black "Fuck Floss". I know it looks like a simple idea but I still can't master it. Stupid small mouth. But last Friday I could not take it any more and got into my dentist who I had not seen in three years. Actually most of that time away was due to the fact I had really crappy insurance or none at all. He helped me out and got me out of pain. Even though I would have to come back on Tuesday for a root canal. Hooray! So I spent most of the weekend gumming soft food, sore and in a haze. But I am a good deal better today. The root canal went well and was not as bad as thought, but I still have at least another to go, along with a crown or two and maybe a bridge. Hey doc, can we just move a road crew into my mouth. But I am back.
As part of my pay here. I am charged with the import responsiblity of making football picks on company time. Here is what I am going with this week:
Ten 31 - 28 Hou
Atl 23 - 20 S.D.
Buf 17 - 13 Mia
Clev 21 - 18 Cinn
Det 28 - 24 G.B.
Was 19 - 14 Chi
K.C. 27 - 24 Jax
Phi 24 - 16 Car
N.E. 23 - Sea 16
N.Y.J. 27 - 16 S.F.
Den 19 - Oak 17
Pit 19 - 16 Dal
Min 38 - 26 N.O.
St. L 24 - 13 T.B.
So about late afternoon Sunday if you smell something putrid. Most likely it is these picks. Thank you coming out and enjoy the Fish.
Well the work week is ending and I have accomplished most of what I hope to get done. Now I'll get ready for a busy weekend.
Tonight - meeting the wife and few of her friends for drinks and then off to Knott's "Scary Farm" I have not done this since I was a senior in high school. The going to Knott's during "Scary Farm". I have not done it after a couple drinks. A very high school theme kind of day here on the blog. I will try to catch some of the Red Sox meltdown tonight, and the rest of the weekend. I hate to say it, but I have put the Red Sox in the same category as the Cubs. I am in hate with them. I am so tired of the Curse and that they have come so close. I am sick of Red Sox nation. Look I still really hate the Yankees. They have their own special plane in hell along with Tito Landrum. But I will root against you and the Cubs until my White Sox get off their asses and win one. After they win one then I will go back to berating the Cubs. Look New England, you had the Celtics and now you have the Pats who were once the punch line to many a joke. So just stop your blubbering.
Saturday, we will be doing set up for the HFH OC gala. Then stick around and go to the gala. I am going to miss UCLA at Cal and USC @ ASU. Rats!
Sunday we have a reunion with our group from our trip. Which should be fun. We will have a boat cruise around Balboa and then looking at the photos. The only problem I have with it is that it starts at 4. Why do they have to hate on me. Make me leave the house before the afternoon games are over. It may be for the best. Since one of those game is the Denver, leaving may mean they will win. But most likely I will leave with them winning. Later that night I will find out that they lost a soul crushing manner and half of the roster is out for the year while the other half has Ebola. They should win, but watch this be the week the Raiders wake up. Have I mentioned that I hate those bastards as well. No matter what, the wife and I will have a good time. It will be the first time we have seen everyone since September 3rd.
Hello everyone! (Short silence, followed by crickets) Well I have spewed out my latest installment of my picks. Speaking of football. I had a life long goal achieved last week. I was paid by the NFL. Yes it is true. I can say that the National Football League has paid me for my services. Okay, so it was $2 and it was for a survey. Look I can add it to my list of lifetime sport achievements. I did receive a football scholarship. Okay it was $500 from the Quarterback Club and it was not for my stellar play. You really can not stand out when you barely play when you are on an 0-10 football team. Still some what proud to say I was on the worst team our school ever produced. Ever. I got it for a real bitchin essay I wrote (I do not know who they read anyone it with all the spelling, grammar and handwriting gaffes) and I think they felt sorry for me. I have also appeared in a Sports illustrated. Too bad it just a small part of my head in our High School's gym as we honored an Olympic Medalist. So I can die a not as sad little man. Well lets get back to the circus that is my football picks.
Coming into this week I was at 28 -16 straight up and 21-20-3 versa the line. Lets see if we did any better.
But first some notes on the games. I did alright during the morning games. I did not expect that the Falcons would get pushed around by the Lions. Let me see, you lose 24 in a row on the road and now you can not be stopped when you leave Detroit. Maybe if Robo Cop would get off his ass. The Vikes and Texans put on a show. I do not know if the Texans just play lights out in the fourth or is the same old Vikings D. The Lions would play better at home. The Colts looks good but that Defense is awful. They have become the Old Denver Nuggets of the NFL. Ron Meeks is being replaced by Doug Moe. They are fun to watch but at some point it will all come crashing down. That Pats win again. It should not count since the Dolphins are 1-AA team. Tampa Bay got off the mat. It must be mid season Brain Griese awakes from his slumber has a little success, but will soon see his shadow and retreat into being awful. (Yes that is a bitter Bronco fan speaking). Der Kommisar has the G-Men at 4-1. Note to Parcells, as great of coach as you are you realize you are putting everything on Vinny. The Steelers have found a QB and there is hope in the AFC North to challenge the ugliness of Raven Football. I have ranted about the Ravens on this virtual bird cage liner that I hate them and I still have issues with Ray and Jamal Lewis and some of their wonderful life choices they have made. I may be a little hard on them. Because who has not covered for friends when someone is killed and has been apart of drug trafficking. But I do begrudging admire that they are great players. Look the Ravens win and you can not argue with that. But god it is tough to watch and what was displayed on Sunday night was just craptasicly bad to watch. Speaking on that game, when does the www.firejoegibbs.com get fired up. Another couple of weeks and we are going to see him cry. There I have said it. Everyone's sheik pick is showing warts. The Jags get rolled by the best uni's in AFL history. Even I have to admit that the Bolts should still be wearing the powder blue. They are now 3-2. This is a suprises when most of the SD columnist had 1-15 projected and even one had them at 0-16. The Jets are now the hip new team everyone is hoping on. This is the NFL dream to have both New York teams playing well. Look the Jets are playing a lot better, but to think they are going to challenge the Pats is a little premature. It is a long season and the Jets have plenty of time to disappoint their fans. I have put the Cardinals on the do not pick list along with the Saints. 16 points in the last 6 minutes. Real good guy, real good. Can someone please step in and help that poor club. They need a break. Two TD's bad, but giving up two TD's and two 2pt conversions that is sick. That says your D is so bad that we got into the end zone four times. This to a bad 49er team. Speaking of collapse how about Holmgren out Martzing Martz. 17 point. Also, I really like throwing the ball late with the Rams having no timeouts. Pure genius. The Broncos again made it interesting. Jake had been playing so well until Peppers went 101 yards in 2 hours. Along with being the longest into return that did not go for a score, but he came close to running out the clock. But Broncos won thanks to Droughns and the D that has only surrendered 3 points in the 4th Quarter. Finally how about those Packers. When did they turn into Marvis Frazier. Classy move Mr. Fisher with the HB pass in the Fourth. Did you have money on the over?
So here is what I had for week 5:
Min @ Hou +4 Min 31 - 24 Min 34 - Hou 28 OT Win - C
Oak @ Ind - 9 Ind 37 - 28 Ind 35 - Oak 14 Win - C

Bal @ Was Pk Bal 16 - 13 Bal 14 - Was 10 Win - C
Ten @ G.B. - 3 G.B. 30 -24 Ten 48 - G.B. 27 Loss
So, a better week than last, but still room for improvement.
5 Weeks in and it stands:
9-5 this week straight up, which makes it 37 - 21
and
8-6 this week vs the spread, so that is now a lusty 29 - 26 - 3
Well I must get back to the grind. More to come.
I need a monkey. I would have that little bastard typing my thoughts so I could get them online quicker. I take too long to think of something. When I do think of something I go all Faulkner, but with just a few more punctuation marks. Damn it you could throw in a comma here and there jackass. "The Sound and Fury" how about the comma and period. Jesus, you and Hugo just love see yourselves write. See how I get easily distracted and go into just utter gibberish. But that is why I need that monkey along with an army of cats to do my bidding. Because there are time I do take a break from my stalking of the NFL to think about other things. I just do not know what those things are right now. I may have an idea around Mid February. Well I am going to get going and try to enjoy the weekend. I will have my week five picks done, but posted around July of 06.
Big shout out to your Fred Willard. Well after two weeks of thinking that I am an above below average football picker I crashed. There is a word in ancient Greek that describes my picks. That word is crappy. Lets take a look at the wreckage.

So let's take a look at the board.
straight up I am 28 Wins vs. 16 Loses (63%)
Against the Spread I am at 21 Wins 20 Loses and 3 Pushes (47%) Sweet!
It is late Friday afternoon and I have not really gotten anything done today and I am dragging. I swear work really gets in the way of getting stuff I really need to get done. Like reading up on the NFL games this week. Or checking critically acclaimed blogs and games. Stupid work.
I think America missed out when they canceled "What's Allan Watching?" back in the late 80's. It maybe the best work ever done by Eddie Murphy. It had the James Brown Story - Soul on Ice ("Did you know that it was James Brown that saw Sirhan Sirhan on the Grassy Knoll and that he found the Salk vaccine"), and Gandhi on Ice ("I am Starving for Attention"). Alas I had taped it but it has been forever lost. But enough about that, what is young Boski watching and what I think America should be watching, not in any particular order:
- The Wire
- Jimmy Kimmel
- Reno 911!
- About any thing else HBO is showing - sopranos, Six Feet Under, Curb Your enthusiasm, Deadwood (which I will watch one day), entourage (They made me enjoy a show with Kevin Dillon, boy that Spielberg is something) and etc.
- Nip/Tuck - One of the few show that every character can be unlikeable, but you still need to watch.
- CSI - Only Las Vegas, the other just suck ass. There I said it.
- 80% of what is on BBC America. The British do mystery and comedy very well. See the show that the America networks steal then destroy, here first.
- MI-5 - This show is straight butter. On A&E and worth your time.
- Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network.
- Anything with a score.
- The Simpson's
Also your Uncle Boski says run do not walk to your local Best Buy/circuit City/Crazy Eddie to get TIVO. Screw Gutenberg and the printing press, this is the greatest invention ever, ever!
Thank you for your time and please vote LaRouche in '04.
- Hello Kids,
Yes, I am very slow, but I did make picks for last week and I swear I did these before the games on Sunday. But here is what I had. I had a really sweet entry I worked on Tuesday and I forgot to save like a dumb bastard. I had a ton of pithy comments and blistering repartee. Some wonderful pearls that the world was denied. Here is a sample of some of the genius that springs from the minds of idiots:
1. Referring to Jamal Lewis as future Federal Inmate R2L394932, as he faces charges of drug trafficing (ALLEGEDLY!).
2. Dick Vermil crying like that curly haired kid from voyagers.
3. Denver RB Quinten Griffin going from Q to ?
4. Marcus Stroud and John Henderson 700 lbs of fury
5. The original thought that the during the Packer/Colts game a John Madden video game broke out.
and lastly
6. The rematch of What's Happening Bowl. This time the ugly helmets won. This episode edged out the Dobbie Brothers episode as my favorite of all time.
So see you should all feel bad that you missed that and butchering of the English language that has not been seen since "The Sure Thing" - "You know you are getting an 'F' in English. That is your Mother tongue". (It has been a long time since I have seen the movie so please forgive me)
But here were my picks:

So Week Three results:
Today is day that I really love being in the Orange County. It is crystal clear today and the Santa Ana's a blowing in. Not too hard, but it is beautiful right now. I could sit in our large training room and just look out at Saddleback all day. I wish I could, but that man won't let me.
Well week two is over and we still really do not know a damn thing about the NFL. The Eagles won and that brings us to our first look at the board.
Boski Straight Up 11 - 5
VS. the spread 8-7-1
Not too bad.
Well I am back at work
I thought that I would have an easy week. You know coming back, new position new desk that I would get time to learn and get settled. Well screw that I got thrown into the fire and I am still trying to catch up. But glad I am doing it than being in my old spot. But I have been so busy it is really cutting into my goofing off at the office.
Week 2
Well my friends it is time for your Uncle Boski to make an ass out of himself by trying to pick Football. Since I am still trying to get up to speed with all that has happened in the three weeks I was gone. But I am going to give it a shot.
So the NFL is back and it was a great week one. Where some things change – (The Lions and Chargers win on the road, and the Browns stop Jamal Lewis) and things some do not (the Pats beat the Colts again and the Chiefs can’t stop anyone).
It brings us to an interesting Week 2 where there are some games that if they are not must wins then they are games that have looked at houses in the area.
The Picks
Indy (0-1) @ Tenn (1-0) (-2.5) Last week the Colts played well enough to heal the wounds of the mugging they got, but shot themselves in the foot all night. From James’ fumbles, to the sack at the end of the game, they had their chances. They face a Titians team that beat on the Fish. It looks like Eddie will not be missed in Tenn, but they are banged up and it will be up to McNair to ball and twine a win. He a guy who can, but it may be too much to ask against a Colt team that wants to avoid 0-2 start and a loss in division, so they pull this one out. Indy 28 Tenn 23
Hou (0-1) @ Det (1-0) (-3.5) A road win from the Lions. That maybe the first one since Bobby Layne was QB. They showed heart and won an ugly one, but they lost Rodgers for the season and Bly for a couple of weeks, so it has the making of a let down. Houston soiled the carpet last week at home to the San Diego Sinkholes. They killed themselves last week and they had no answer for Gates. But I think this week they pull the upset. The Lions are better but are banged up and I think they are ready for a let down. Hou 24 Det 14
Car (0-1) vs. K.C. (0-1) (-5) The Panthers were beaten on Monday they lost Smith and will not have Davis most likely and now they are staring at (0-2). K.C. again showed they it may take more than Gunter Cummingham to help this lot. They are the Priest Holmes show and as long as he is standing they have a chance. I think were going to see a repeat of last Monday night. Wish Car 48 KC –5 Reality KC 31 Car 19
Chi (0-1) @ G.B. (1-0) (-8) The Pack should win and they have handled the Bears, especially with Farve. But I am worried about a letdown here and Green maybe off this week after the hard running he did last week. If Davenport was health then they do not have to run Green into the ground. Things will not be so Lovie for the Bears, but I think they will be in this game and have a shot at an upset, if Green is off and they can attack the Pack up the middle and in Nickel and Dime situation. G.B. wins but do not cover. G.B 20 Chi 16
Den (1-0) @ Jax (1-0) (+3) Clinton who? Q’s 156 yard night has helped back up Shannahan and his trade for Champ. The offense had balance both run/pass. Also it was balanced in brilliance and stupidity. The Bronco Offense kept KC in the game with dumb TO’s. The Broncos need to run the ball to win to allow for Play Action and Boots, but this week come up against a great D-line and D that was #2 last year. We see what kind of team Denver is. Jax looked awful at Buff and should have lost, but since Buff felt it was not necessary to cover Jimmy Smith, Jax took the win. Being at home in the swamp will help. It will be close until a couple of turnovers turn it into a Jax win in double digits. Wish Den 73 Jax 2 ( I am still angry about 96) Reality Jax 31 Den 20
S.F. (0-1) @ N.O. (0-1) (-7) I know what they Niners excuse is, but what is up with the Saints. They get only 7 off Seattle at home. I can understand them losing, but looking that bad with Brook, Stall worth, Horn, Williams and McAllister. The D did its job and held them to 21. But they show up and beat a Niner team that is going to have a long year. N.O. 30 S.F. 10
St.L (1-0) vs. Atl (1-0) (-2) The Rams nearly gave one a way to the Redbirds so now they go to Atlanta who had a tougher time with SF than expected. This will be a track meet and I think the Rams will have enough to spoil Jim Mora’s home debuted. Something do not change do they Jim. The Rams skill players will make life hard on the secondary. St.L 34 Atl 28
Wash (1-0) @ N.Y.G (0-1) (+3) Gibbs is back the Skins fan are in heaven. Enjoy it while it last. They still have problems and Portis is not Jon Riggins. That does not matter this week as they prepare to beat on the Giants who are in trouble. There are already ill feelings for Coughlin and it is week 1. Will someone please check on Kurt Warner I think he is still in a fog from last years beating he took. How much punishment is he going to take before they let Manning take over? This O-line is crap and worse than last year, so Kurt you going to long for that Supermarket job. Wash 27 N.Y.G. 17
Pitt (1-0) @ Balt (0-1) (-4) When I left for my trip the thought going around was that the Ravens would be the team to challenge N.E. and they were ready to get back to the Super Bowl. But now it looks like they are playing a must win in September. A loss here and they are 0-2 and both losses are in the division so it is a must win. They are banged up front, Boleware is banged up, Boller is no Dieter Brock and they have Deion playing the Nickel. So it does not look good. The Steelers played well and man handled Oak till the 4th when they let them back in. But as Bill Simmons put it this will be a Ray Lewis game where he pull them out and they go on a run. Balt 18 Pitt 12
Sea (1-0) vs. T.B. (0-1) (+3) The Hawks won on the road and could be sitting at 2-0 by Sunday night. They are the “IT” team in the NFC, but I think they still have too many holes on D. Compounded by Chad Brown being out. The Hawks may be with out Alexander, but will have enough this week. The reason, the Bucs have issues and they look slow. It will be a shame to go against the Bucs on Talk Like a Pirate Day. But the Bucs O is horrible. If they get Garner going they can have a shot, but injuries at WR will not help open things up. Sea 26 T.B. 20
N.Y.J. (1-0) @ S.D. (1-0) (+3) This one may be entertain to watch. If the Jets slow down LT they will win going away. The Chargers (2-0) that is unpossible. But with LT anything is possible. N.Y.J 33 S.D.24
Buff (0-1) @ Oak (0-1) (-3.5) Part three of the Desperation Weekend. Buffalo needs to keep pace but will need to pound the ball and keep people out of Bledsoe’s face. If they can run, they will get a great match-up with Moulds on Woodson so is still not in game shape. But the Raiders will get their O going by going after the Bills corners. They will win but not cover. Oak 27 Buff 20
Clev (1-0) @ Dall (0-1) Simply put, Clev is not as good as they were last week and Parcells will always out coach Butch Davis. Dall 30 Clev 21
N.E. (1-0) @ Ari (0-1) (+8) It will be close for a while, but the Pats win their 17th. N.E. 28 Ari 17
Mia (0-1) @ Cinn (0-1) (-3) It has been a long time since the Bengal's were the fav’s in this match up. The A.J. Freely era begins and it will be much like the Fielder era. Things are bad when people would be happy with Don Stock. The Bengal’s will not be a playoff team, seeing this D they will not make the stop when the need to. Which is a shame because they have a great looking O. Palmer looked well, but that means he will turn around and throw 6 picks. The Fish are sick and they should let Wandstadt go now so he can have a chance at a job somewhere. After this season, I do not think they will even let him be the night manager at Arby’s. The Fish go to 0-2. Cinn 26 Mia 13
Minn (1-0) @ Phil (1-0) (-3) This is one of the most hyped regular season match up in years. Everyone is seeing shootout. I think it may be more lopsided. I feel the Eagles have enough D to allow the O to exploit the Vikes. I think both Moss and Owens will have some big numbers, but it will be Owens who comes out on top. Phil 31 Minn 21
That concludes week two. We will see how badly I do, so everyone can laugh at and mock me. Good Times.
What sucked about the Trip
- The Flight – that is way too much time to be cooped up, but the movies where good. Also, what ever you do not watch a Claymation movie in the rows ahead of you when you are trying to sleep, it will screw with your head.
- Exchange rate – Near two bucks for a Pound. That is honked up.
- The nice people who kept us up all night at the LSE. You are all cheaters. (Inside joke
- Music – I thought I would get to hear some good radio or music. This being where the the Sex Pistiols and The Clash started. Nope, while in London, we got crap. Any where there was music expect at the Airport (they had a cool kind of bar and grill that was mellow and had music videos going) it all sucked. Worst part, I lost my Westlife CD!
- Not enough time to see more of London – Stupid job and having to show up.
- What is going on – We were so busy and we did not have access to a TV for the first two week so I have no idea what they hell went on anywhere. Which is good and bad.
- Sports – the one thing I was really missing was what was going on in sports. Missed the last half of the Olympics and it looks like I did not miss anything. But I missed football. I tried to fill that void with their football. Watch some World Cup Qualifiers (Why do the Irish always draw the Swiss, why can’t Northern Ireland buy a goal and the English Soccer fans are the Cubs and Red Sox wrapped up into one), but by they end it was so in my head. What was the first thing I did after clearing customs; check the Broncos-Chiefs Denver 34 KC 24.
Final thoughts on trip
I had a great time and I will go back. Do I want to live there? I would have said no way before going, but now I would consider it. But I did not go during the winter. We had great weather and I come from the land of 1 and half season. Summer and not Summer. I could do summers there. Right now there is too much here to leave. I could not leave my family, friends, sports and the Wahoo’s Maui bowl. But if they put a Wahoo’s there then I may look into Flats for Let.
Our wonderful trip also included time in England. We visited family friends in South Yorkshire and then down to London. We had great weather and a great time.
What Rocked about the Trip (England)
- Seeing old friends – stayed with family friends in their home, which still has the original structure apart of the house. That part is 17th Century. An amazing home, right up with the manor house we had just stayed in. Also saw a former co-worker who hung out with us for a couple of days.
- York – A great day wandering through the Cathedral, the Shambles and the Castle Museum. That Cathedral, not too shabby.
- Chatsworth – An amazing English Estate and Garden. It was a picture perfect day and we strolled through this amazing home, with its priceless art and architecture and stunning ground.
- Hadden Hall – Nothing like spending time looking at a Medieval Hall.
- London – London is never having to go to New York again. It is a beautiful city with so much to see and offer, and unlike New York. A shit load less urine smell. The Tubes were clean and city was pretty clean. I know there are some scary ass places in London if you go south of the River, but I will take it over New York and Chicago.
- The Tower – It was a lot of fun spending a day wandering around the Tower taking the tour and just seeing this amazing pile of rocks.
- Look kids Big Ben and Parliament – They are even more impressive seeing them in person.
- Public Transit – Being from Southern California I thought it was just a legend they told kids.
- History – It is the only thing that really reeked in England was history. From the Tower, the Estates, the National Gallery to the British Museum. It is history all day and all night. I could have spent all of our time in London at the British Museum. Holy shit that was off the heezzie (Again for the kids). For someone who loves history this is porn. The only other thing that matches this is going to the Huntington and being taken to the back to look at actual Mark Twain documents. Sports and History. I am a sad little man.
- The Prime Meridian –You have not lived till you have stood at 0.
- Again my better half for planning this and showing me London. We only scratched the surface, so we a lot that needs to be seen.
Here is a brief list.
- The People – everyone was so very nice.
- The Food – we did not have a bad meal. It is not all fish and chips. These were some of the best meals I have every had, but this is a man who loves Del Taco’s Breakfast Burritos.
- Beer – It is scary how good Guinness’s is across the water. What we do to beer in this country should be considered a hate crime. They even made Bud taste good. But I think I know why they do it. You could easily get into trouble. Pound three of four and you become everyone’s friend.
- The Team we took – it was a good group. There were moments, but that happens when you are cooped up together for two weeks.
- The Sights – They were both beautiful and moving. Sights like Belfast, Strangford Lough, Derry, the Mourne Mountains, the Giants Causeway and the North Coast. It was all amazing, breathtaking and moving.
- Our accommodations – We crashed at a sweet Irish Manor home. I can never say thanks enough to our host for having us stay. This place was amazing. I just wished I had a Tweed Jacket.
- Being a part of building homes for people need and deserve homes.
- Tea Time – Because they make some fine snacks for teatime on that side of the pond.
- Family Roots – It felt good to see where I come from. I feel more at home in Northern Ireland where my grandfather was from than New York City where my parents lived. (Thank you Mom and Dad for making the right decision and coming west)
- Our site supervisors – They are the best and the nicest people you will want to meet.
- My better half – She is the one who got this all together.
Greetings everyone. Boski has returned from Northizel Irelizal.and the U to the K. Look I am just trying to be hip for the kids. The wife and I are back and we had a great time. It was a once in a lifetime trip. We spent three weeks in Northern Ireland, Yorkshire and London and it was amazing. For me being in Northern Ireland means a lot, since it is where my grandfather came from. A quick story and if I get sappy then sue me. This is not a high traffic blog. But my grandfather grew up in Belfast and being a Catholic in Belfast gave few options: be unemployed, get the crap kicked out of you or leave. Well after having to go to England to get work he had enough and was off to Australia. No he was not being shipped off to Van Diemens Land. He was going to work with the Horse Corp. there, but unfortunately for him he got to leave Belfast but got only as far has New Jersey during the Depression with a one way ticket. So good for me. So going there and trying to do something that will help end the bullshit. And there is a lot of bullshit going on.
Well I just had to stop myself or I was going on a rampage.
Edgar Martinez is retiring, well boo-hoo. He is not the greatest DH ever. That title belongs to Harold Douglas Baines. Do not ask me how I know, but Edgar cheated. Let's just leave it at that. No way he goes to the Hall and Harold doesn't.
Is it a tasty treat, or punch line? America you make the call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Dolphins are going to really suck some ass this year. It is almost to the point I feel bad. But you know what. The Fish can go make sweet love to a light socket. The Chargers will work on moving to LA by going 1-15. The EPA will block the movement of toxic waste, but will come to LA. I am so convinced after watching Georgia run the Rams into the ground to move to the armpit of America St. Louis. I am not a Rams fan, but when they were here I would root for them and knowing I could go catch and NFL game was nice. But her and John Shaw called for the gimp.
56 going on 86. I am really glad Dave Chapplle signed that contract with Comedy Central before this. But right now, I hear that the Mary Jane Girls are gathered to elect the next Rick James. So if I remember correctly, if there is white smoke coming from the compound. Then they are puffing on the Chronic. The gray smoke means they are freebasing. And black smoke means that they have chosen a new Rick James, and they have smoked everything they could get their hands on. Early favorites are Al Roker, Nipsy Russell and Don Knotts. Please stay tuned.
Should pudding be on the periodic table? I think it should. I would put it near the Noble Gases. It is stable element and there is nothing more noble than eating pudding. Look don't give me that its made with milk and pudding mix. I say balderdash. It is a gift from the gods. But this is just one man's musing.
This weekend, John Elway is intucted to the Hall of Fame. The first Bronco to go in. No, Willie Brown and Tony Dorsett do not count. I know I have droned on about Elway on this Blog, but I was very fortunate to be a Bronco Fan and see him from the beginning to the end. There are so many moments I will now give a quick Top 10.
- Super Bowl XXXII
- The Drive
- The Scramble vs. Houston in 91 Playoffs
- Super Bowl XXXIII
- Hiting Shannon Sharpe, standing flat footed, 50 yards, on a rope vs. the Seachickens '95
- Elway hitting Rod Smith on a Out and Up Pattern against the Raiders on Monday Night Nov. 96
- Pissing on the Raiders.
- Kicking the Chargers when they are down.
- Making the Cheifs look like the Candyasses they are.
- Tormenting Marty Shotenheimer.
That is what I have. Give me time, I could craft something a good deal better. Thank goodness my wife tolerates this.
Today, I have been accepted into the warm arms of Human Resources. Instead of living in fear of them, I will be at one with them. I have big plans and ideas that will help this company move forward. Things like flex time, literacy program, a secret police and a reign of terror that would make Robespierre blush. Oh, I think I have said too much. Now I have been an administrative drone for two years at this company and I need to try to do more. Hell actually try to make something out of my life. This will be different and I think I need to make a change. No change in pay, that sucks. Hey I do get mileage. Which means I have to figure a way to fake going from Orange County to SD via the Cape. Much to ponder.
As I have stated to any who asks, "what's your favorite sport?" For me I love them all. I will watch anything with a score. But over the years I have a fanatical football fan. Not a paint your self a team color and make and ass out of yourself fanatic. But I love it. Especially Pro Football. I am very close to having a restraining order placed on me by the NFL. I will watch Football in all of it formats. Pro, College, Junior College, High School. I even go as far as NFL Europe. Yes, I am that idiot that will watch and care about a Berlin vs. Scotland game. This summers trip has kept me from my lowest low's. No not Arena Football. Yes I have watched that too. But I have watched and kept tabs on the CFL. I know that is rock bottom, when I have to get my fix of football by watching web highlights of the Blue Bombers and Eskimos duke it out. The CFL is the paint huffing of the football world. Unless you are from Canada you should not be enjoying punts on third downs or rouges! But I will take it in till the good stuff comes in. To prove how much of a football degenerate I am. I was happy to know that I will only miss week 1 of the NFL season. I may even get home with enough time to catch the end of the Broncos game. But I have been dreaded that I will miss all the roster manuvering and major injuries while I am gone. Stupid trip of a lifetime! Well my wife knows that there is no helping me.
Dear reader, please forgive the grammar and spelling errors. I am not a smart man.
Well kids since I last left you. I have actually got stuff done. Go figure. Work is still busy. Man they are seriously cutting into my goofing off. Well my White Sox have soiled themselves again in August and have gone from 1 1/2 games up to down 5. Really good guys. Well it does not help that Frank and Maggilo are on the DL. So I can look forward to Carl (Don't ask me about Dinosours) Everett to carrying us. Less than three weeks till the trip. God I hope I can keep from fucking things up. So that is leave the water on and pack only stuff I do not need. Check!
But I do not feel it right now. It is the end of the day and I would like to get home while there still is light out. I hate procrastinating and having the attention span of a deer tick. But that is who I am. Right now I could sit here and tap away making it look like I was doing something.
Conrad Bain - TV father figure or post-apocholypitic, unicycle riding, pistol packing, crack smoking pimp with a heart of gold. With the teeth to match. You let that run through your head for a while. It keeps me up night. I just can't get this idea on paper, yet. But the day I do the whole world can share in my vision/insanity. Just think about it. Wouldn't you want to catch Conrad, swearing, drinking, slapping and unicycling (I do not think that is a word) his way into your heart on Friday nights at 8:30. I think it would work in that slot. But, I am no Jim Ignatowski.
Another long day. After re-arranging everything to get to my office at 6:30. I find that the meeting was canceled. F*&(! I have been sluggish all day. I am amazed I did three miles today. It was good. That 24 Hour Fitness is a hotbox unlike Lakeshore which can be down right freezing. Unless you running by the window midday. Enough of that. To make it worst. I did not screw around a lot today but I accomplished as much as if I spent the whole day screwing around. I have a crap load to do before Friday. I going to get out of here and go home to my loving wife and my PS2. I hate to say but I am 33 and I am so attached to that damn thing. I am one of those freaks who plays Madden day and day out. I have played 8 season of Madden. I am talking 16 games and playoffs. I would say I am a complete loser, but I have won a couple of Super Bowls. Opps, I am showing how pathetic I am. I think about my life and I know that I would be the greatest professional layabout if given the tools. I can spend hours upon hours doing nothing of importance. There are episodes of Alice not being watched. Madden Football games to be played, naps to be had. I am the man for this job. Well if I can not have that plum assignment, then I need to work toward my other goal. To become the greatest living Keno player of our generation. I want to be up there in the pantheon of Kino greats as, Cranky Asian woman, Gil Gerard (how do you think he got the Buck Rogers Gig, Twiki was just a Toster to old Gil pimped him out) and surly drunk retired guy. I could go on, but I would have to be creative. That is not going to happen. Well go night all and please tip your wait staff.
I hate to do this to the radio listen audience out there. But part of the reason I am doing this blog is for self indulgent reason. I just want a place I can riff some of my mindless stuff. Right now I feel a list or two coming on. Wait for it....
Favorite Athletes :
John Elway - Johnny Football. I was spoiled for 15 years getting to watch him. The winnest QB in the NFL and Mr. Bronco. I think he was the best, he won with teams that had not business winning as much as they did. Seeing him win two Super Bowls ended all the years of hearing crap about him and the Bronocs. Oh he's no Montana or Unitis. F$%@, lets see China Doll win with Clint Sampson, Clarance Kay, Micheal Young. I thought so. I am just pissed I never got to see him win in person. The three times I went to see him they lost. One of those loses was the last home win of the Los Angeles Rams. See there is some useless info. I still think they got screwed on the fourth down call, it was a catch. They get that first down they score and beat the Rams. Okay I think it is time to move on or I will be here a while.
Harold Baines - Mr. White Sox - my favorite baseball player. A .289 hitter 16 HR's short of 400 and 134 away from 3,000. He was money and I just wish teams would have let him get more at bats his last two year. 3000 would have gotten him into the Hall, but the they would have found away to screw him. Oh he's a DH. Well screw you, throw out Molitor and everyone else who appeared as a DH. That arguement is BS. He was money. I did get to see him play in Chicago, so I feel I got to have a childhood wish come true. I drove my friends nuts with my talk of Harold. he was the only thing the Sox's had in the mid to late 80's. My friends in turn gave me crap about being a White Sox and Baines fan. They all loved the Yankee, Angels and Dodgers. So I could only get excited around the All-Star Game when he would get recognized. I just wished he pulled the ball more. a 30 HR season here and there would have been good and maybe he would have 400 HR's. But it was great to see him at the All-Star Game Celeb Game in the South American Airline Uni going opposite field. Yeah, I know it was off of Sarah Silverman. But there were a few pitchers he homered off that she could of outpitched. I need to stop or I will talk about his 4-4 performance as and A against Baltimore in 91 (3HR's a Double and a IBB). Which by the way was the record for most total bases by an Athletic until I think Giambi broke it. I will need to check.
Vincent Edward Jackson - I am not ashamed to say I was a full fledge member of the cult of Bo Jackson. I am still getting Christmas Cards from Phil Knight for all the Bo Swag I bought in the early nineties. I will only need to say this. He was so good and so amazing that he made me root for the Raiders while he played. I hate the Raiders! Everytime you watched you knew something could happen. I carry his football card along with Oscar Gamble. Got to love the Fro. I just wished he played one full season of Football. He would have gone for 2200 yards. I could spend a day talking about Bo. But that is what ESPN Classic is for. One day when I learn to embed crap I will do them justice.
I will try to get back to this list, but if I get sidetracked I will throw out some of my other favs.
Tom Jackson - the man who made me a Bronco Fan
Frank Thomas - he pisses me off time to time, but I need to remember all he has done and is still doing. Everytime he tried to get out of being great, it keeps pulling him back in!!!
Shaq - I love the Desiel, because he is a force on the court and one of the biggest goofs. I am going to miss him. More on that later.
Maggilo Ordonez - He has been money and will always be money.
Archi Ciafrocco - Big ups to my favorite name in baseball.
Stump Mitchell - Why not, lets here it for Stump.
The Great One - Thank you for putting LA on the Hockey Map.
Well, as I said I may have more when I get back. I have to get out and get stuff done.
Sorry for any Grammar Hate Crimes I have committed
Well less than five weeks till my wife and I are off to Northern Ireland and then England. It will be a great trip, if it does not kill us. The planning we have done for this. Well my wife's planning. She is the John Wayne of this trip and I am Gabby Hayes. She has done a great job on this. We are going to have fun and I will get to conect to a piece of my heritage. I do not think I am truly getting the gravity of what we need to do and the actual trip itself. I will give more details as we get closer. I should not lie, it will be talking about the trip after I get back. Just a quick note, if you like proper grammar this will not be your blog. I can not promise that any of the grammar, syntax or spelling will not be harmed in the making of this blog. Also they might be subjected to adult situations and drug use.
I know everyone assumes it was video, but the corner's report will show that the Radio star was bludgened with processed meat. Sad man, sad. Well I still have a crap load to do here at work but I am at point where it would be pointless to get into something, so time to let the world in on the crap in my head and this dumb ass blog. Well it is a wonderful and scoarchingly warm day in this little over-crowded corner of heaven called the OC. "No bitch, this is not how we do blogs in the OC!".
Just needed to be said. I really have a shit load to do and I could spend the rest of the day talking about my random thoughts. But back to work. I have files to review, letters to write and solitare to play. Crap you we not supposed to hear that one.
